the electro discharge machining (edm), one of the methods used in the machining industry and a non-traditional manufacturing method, the electro erosion process does not depend on the hardness of material and offers a way to process materials of very complex geometry with very fine and high precision by using cheap electrode materials, which make it a preferred method. in this study, effect of ...

Bandgap engineering of TiO2 is a substantial strategy for efficient water splitting in the visible light range. Introducing dopants and hydrogenation have been found effective for that purpose. In this paper, we report the development of a hierarchical three dimensional TiO2–Si nanowire (NW)-based photoelectrochemical (PEC) anode with visible light photochemical activity. The TiO2 NWs were synt...

A strain of the aerobic anoxygenic photosynthetic bacteria was isolated from a deep-ocean hydrothermal vent plume environment. The in vivo absorption spectra of cells indicate the presence of bacteriochlorophyll a incorporated into light-harvesting complex I and a reaction center. The general morphological and physiological characteristics of this new isolate are described.

Atmospheric precipitation is one of the most important sources providing water for various purposes. Their optimal use, especially snow and rain in arid and semi-arid regions, can play a significant role in meeting water needs in low water seasons, which can be collected and stored before they come into contact with the soil surface and become contaminated so that in times of water shortage, To...

The harvesting process begins with the removal of the animal from food and water, progresses through a variety of handling and transport procedures that culminate at the abattoir where the animal is slaughtered and the carcass processed for sale to either the local or export market. The manner and method in which this harvesting process is carried out can significantly affect the returns to the...

The photosynthetic membranes of green plants are organized into stacked regions interconnected by nonstacked regions that have been shown to be biochemically and structurally distinct. Because the stacking process occludes the surfaces of appressed membranes, it has been impossible to conduct structural or biochemical studies of the outer surfaces of the photosynthetic membrane in regions of me...

In some cyanobacteria, the color or prevalent wavelengths of ambient light can impact the protein or pigment composition of the light-harvesting complexes. In some cases, light color or quality impacts cellular morphology. The significance of changes in pigmentation is associated strongly with optimizing light absorption for photosynthesis, whereas the significance of changes in light quality-d...

The unequivocal global warming has an explicit impact on the natural water cycle and resultantly leads to increasing occurrence of extreme weather events which in turn bring challenges unavoidable destruction urban supply system. As such, diversifying sources is a key solution building resilience An atmospheric harvesting can capture out air provide point-of-use source directly. Currently, seri...
