A general and direct strategy for the synthesis of chiral spiro-aziridine oxindoles has been developed via an aza-Corey-Chaykovsky reaction of isatin-derived N-tert-butanesulfinyl ketimines with excellent selectivity (dr = 98:2 to >99:1).
