in this paper at rst, a history of mathematical models is given.next, some basic information about random variables, stochastic processesand markov chains is introduced. as follows, the entropy for a discrete timemarkov process is mentioned. after that, the entropy for sis stochastic modelsis computed, and it is proved that an epidemic will be disappeared after a longtime.

PURPOSE Several urethral conditions may require tissue substitution. One collagen-base biomaterial that recently emerged as an option is small intestinal submucosa (SIS). The aim of this study was to compare the results of SIS and buccal mucosa for urethral substitution in rabbits. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-six North Folk male rabbits were randomized into three groups. In all animals, a 10...

Shoulder proprioception gives information regarding arm joint position and movement direction. Several studies have investigated shoulder proprioceptive acuity in patients with subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS); however, differences in protocols and between-subjects designs have limited scientific inferences regarding proprioception and SIS. We aimed to determine within-subject differences...

My research philosophy revolves around the belief that successful systems research has to demonstrate two things: 1) a novel and interesting approach to an important research problem, and 2) usability. I strongly believe that for a system to be successful, it has to be usable by the target audience. On the other hand, a highly usable system that doesn’t advance the state of the art in any way i...

The ALMA Band 6 (211-275 GHz) receivers use sideband-separating SIS mixer-preamplifiers with dual 4-12 GHz IF outputs. The sideband-separating mixers are of the phasing type, with the LO driving two component mixers in-phase and the RF signal connected to the mixers through a quadrature hybrid. The IF outputs of the mixers are amplified, then combined in a quadrature hybrid which separates the ...

Secret image sharing (SIS) technique protects an image by sharing it among many users. Most existing SIS schemes produce meaningless shadow images, which tends to cause attackers’ suspicion. In this paper, a meaningful secret image sharing scheme is proposed that, for the first time, uses mosaic images as the shadow images. The secret image is divided into several parts, and each part is transf...

Safety instrumented systems (SIS) are used to protect against consequences of hazardous events in the oil and gas industry. It is important to detect failures that may impede the SIS from performing upon demands. Recently, partial stroke testing has been introduced as an automatic means to test the SIS valves. Partial stroke testing is able to detect failures that traditionally have been reveal...

The shadow problem (SIS) gets as input a forest F , and a map that assigns subtrees, called shadows, to leaves of F . SIS asks whether there exists a set of |F | leaves, one from each tree, such that no leaf lies in the shadow of another. Usually SIS is considered as a parameterized problem with parameter k bounding the cardinality of F , for which some fixedparameter tractability time bounds h...
