Algorithms combining multi-view information are known to exponentially quicken classification, and have been applied to many fields. However, they lack the ability to mine most discriminant information sources (or data types) for making predictions. In this paper, we propose an algorithm based on boosting to address these problems. The proposed algorithm builds base classifiers independently fr...

With the development of internet, illegal copying problem has become more serious and thus made digital watermarking enters as an important role to handle and deal such a critical issue. In this paper we present a digital audio watermarking process with the use of Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert Transform (HT). A binary image, which is obtained by mapping from standard normal dis...

The estimation of survival rates from analysis of recapture of individually marked animals assumes that all individuals are equally likely to be re-encountered. This assumption is frequently violated in natural populations due to movements to and from the sampling area. We evaluated potential sources of heterogeneity using data from recaptures of 36000 individually marked female lesser snow gee...

Laryngopyocele recurrence after initial surgical resection is a very rare occurrence. We present a case of recurrent laryngopyocele in which CT fluoroscopy-guided hookwire placement was used to facilitate resection. In this article, we illustrate the imaging findings of laryngopyocele, review the approach to management, and describe the CT fluoroscopy-guided hookwire placement procedure.
