Chronic ankle instability has defined as recurrent ankle sprain, so that 40% of injured athletes after acute injury despite of receiving of adequate rehabilitation, suffering from this instability. The purpose of this study is investigate of postural sway’s risk factors proportion in jump-landing and lateral hopping tasks, in prediction of chronic ankle sprain occurrence. 25 ankle sprain injure...
This paper investigates the invertibility of certain analogs of the Turing jump operator in the polynomial-time Turing degrees. If C is some complexity class, the C-jump of a set A is the canonical C-complete set relative to A. It is shown that the PSPACE-jump and EXP-jump operators are not invertible, i.e., there is a PSPACE-hard (resp. EXP-hard) set that is not p-time Turing equivalent to the...
Jump performances of Ctenocephalides canis and Ctenocephalides felis felis have been measured and compared on unfed young imagos. The mean length of the C. felis felis jump was 19.9+/-9.1cm; minimum jump was 2cm, and the maximum was one 48cm. The C. canis jump was significantly longer (30.4+/-9.1cm; from 3 to 50cm). For height jump evaluation, grey plastic cylindric tubes measuring 9cm in diame...
In this paper we show that there is no minimal bound for jump traceability. In particular, there is no single order function such that strong jump traceability is equivalent to jump traceability for that order. The uniformity of the proof method allows us to adapt the technique to showing that the index set of the c.e. strongly jump traceables
A jump system is a set of lattice points satisfying a certain “two-step” axiom. We present a variety of results concerning the geometry of these objects, including a characterization of two-dimensional jump systems, necessary (though not sufficient) properties of higher-dimensional jump systems, and a characterization of constant-sum jump systems.
We propose a theory of a steady circular hydraulic jump based on the shallowwater model obtained from the depth-averaged Navier–Stokes equations. The flow structure both upstream and downstream of the jump is determined by considering the flow over a plate of finite radius. The radius of the jump is found using the farfield conditions together with the jump conditions that include the effects o...
We investigated the relationships between power event scores and power/strength tests using the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) scoring table. We sought to identify tests suitable for evaluating the performance of athletes specialized in power events involving different techniques (jumping, sprinting, and throwing). Seventyfour male university-level track and field ath...
The aim of this study was to determine the precise effect of plyometric training (PT) on vertical jump height in healthy individuals. Meta-analyses of randomised and non-randomised controlled trials that evaluated the effect of PT on four typical vertical jump height tests were carried out: squat jump (SJ); countermovement jump (CMJ); countermovement jump with the arm swing (CMJA); and drop jum...
In the present study, the six legged concrete (SLC) elements are placed at the bed of a flume downstream of a chute in different layouts, densities and number of longitudinal rows of SLC elements. Each test was run for different flow conditions (Froude numbers ranged 5.3 to 8.1). During each test, the water surface profile, the roller length and the jump length measured. Applying the experimen...
BACKGROUND In the field of vertical jump diagnostics, force plates (FP) are the reference standard. Recently, despite a lack of evidence, jump mats have been used increasingly. Important factors in favor of jumping mats are their low cost and portability. OBJECTIVES This validity study compared the Haynl-Elektronik jump mat (HE jump mat) with the reference standard force plate. MATERIALS AN...
