The Hamiltonian form of the Hilbert action in the first order tetrad formalism is examined. We perform a non-linear field redefinition of the canonical variables isolating the part of the spin connection which is canonically conjugate to the tetrad. The geometrical meaning of the constraints written in these new variables is examined.

In this letter we present an idea which reconciles a homogeneous and isotropic Friedmann universe with a fractal distribution of galaxies. We use two observational facts: The flat rotation curves of galaxies and the (still debated) fractal distribution of galaxies with fractal dimension D = 2. Our idea can also be interpreted as a redefinition of the notion of bias.

I return to the question of what distinguishes AOP languages by considering how the interpreters of AOP languages differ from conventional interpreters. Key elements for static transformation are seen to be redefinition of the set and lookup operators in the interpretation of the language. We investigate the connection between the NSVZ and the DRED forms of the gauge β-function in an N = 1 supersymmetric gauge theory. A generalized anti-hermitian staggered Dirac operator is formulated. Its relation with noncommutative geometry is briefly reviewed. Once this antihermitian operator is modified to be “γ5-hermitian”, it will provide a new solution to Ginsparg-Wilson relation, basing on an abstract algebraic analysis of Neuberger’s overlap construction and a redefinition of chirality.
