Indole-6-carboxylic acid (ICA) and 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) are copolymerized electrochemically on a stainless steel (SS) electrode to obtain poly(indole-6-carboxylic acid-co-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)s (P(ICA-co-EDOT))s. The morphology of P(ICA-co-EDOT)s is checked using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the SEM images reveal that these films are composed of highly porous fiber...
In this research, we report an innovative, chemical strategy for the in situ synthesis and direct two-dimensional (2D) arraying of various nanoparticles (NPs) on graphenes using both programmed-peptides as directing agents and graphenes as pre-formed 2D templates. The peptides were designed for manipulating the enthalpic (coupled interactions) constraint of the global system. Along with the fun...
In this study, the influence of the morphology on the electrocatalytic activity of nickel oxide nanostructures toward methanol oxidation is investigated. Two nanostructures were utilized: nanoparticles and nanofibers. NiO nanofibers have been synthesized by using the electrospinning technique. Briefly, electrospun nanofiber mats composed of polyvinylpyrolidine and nickel acetate were calcined a...
Poisoning tolerance of Pt-based catalyst is an important parameter for the designing direct electrochemical fuel cells (EFCs) based on electrooxidation alcohols (i.e. methanol, ethanol). Applicability ethanol EFCs still challenging taking into account lack effective electrocatalysts which are able to produce high faradic current densities and stability towards strong adsorption C1 C2 oxidation ...
Glycerol Electrooxidation In article number 2209386, Yung-Jung Hsu, Chia-Ying Chiang, and co-workers demonstrate practical use of [email protected]x protected] nanostructures for efficient glycerol electrooxidation (GEOR). Further integration GEOR with hydrogen evolution reaction is realized by employing as both anode cathode electrocatalysts in a two-electrode configuration. Concomitant produc...
Monodisperse trimetallic AuCuSn nanocubes are reported where Sn and Cu are inserted into the crystal lattice following co-precipitation protocols along with Au. These trimetallics are explored further towards catalytic hydrazine electrooxidation and their enhanced catalytic activity compared with their bimetallic counterpart AuCu is reported.
