The oxidation of carbon monoxide was studied on oxide Cu–Mn–Fe catalytic systems with metal ratio Cu:Mn:Fe=1:1:1; 2:1:1; 1:2:1 and 1:1:2 obtained by the sol-gel method combustion. results X-ray phase analysis showed that have a complex composition. Along double oxides manganese iron, ferrites copper-, manganese, copper manganite, manganese-substituted were formed (CuFe2O4; Mn0.43Fe2.57O4, Mn0.9...
A variety of diagenetic hematite and manganese oxide deposits occur within well-exposed Jurassic eolian and related deposits of southeastern Utah. Hematite concretions (millimeters to tens of meters in size) and strata-bound layers occur in the permeable Navajo, Page, and Entrada sandstones. Localized manganese oxide deposits without significant iron oxide occur in the overlying rocks covering ...
Accelerated precipitation of Mn-rich rocks in the early Paleoproterozoic ocean is considered to reflect irreversible rise oxygen atmosphere during Great Oxidation Event (GOE), 2.501–2.220 billion years ago. But conditions, pathways, mechanisms, and linkages redox, broadly remain unresolved. The Lagoa do Riacho Mn deposit Borborema Province, northeastern Brazil, Ceará state, consists mainly mang...
Arsenic (As) mobility in the environment is greatly affected by its oxidation state and the degree to which it is sorbed on metal oxide surfaces. Manganese oxides (Mn oxides) have the ability to decrease overall As mobility both by oxidizing toxic arsenite (As(III)) to less toxic arsenate (As(V)), and by sorbing As. However, the effect of competing ions on the mobility of As sorbed on Mn-oxide ...
Porous manganese oxide spheres form readily from a reaction between KMnO4 and n-butanol in aqueous butyric acid under ambient conditions. Spheres have uniform size, tuneable diameters and high surface areas. The material is an active catalyst for the oxidation of isopropanol to acetone.
We report a chemical solution based method using nanoporous track-etched polymer templates for producing long and oriented LaSr-2 × 4 manganese oxide molecular sieve nanowires. Scanning transmission electron microscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy analyses show that the nanowires are ferromagnetic at room temperature, single crystalline, epitaxially grown and self-aligned.
Microscale supercapapcitors based on hierarchical nanoporous hybrid electrodes consisting of 3D bicontinuous nanoporous gold and pseudocapacitive manganese oxide deliver an excellent stack capacitance of 99.1 F cm-3 and a high energy density of 12.7 mW h cm-3 with a retained high power density of 46.6 W cm-3.
We present a facile synthesis of manganese oxide (MnO(2)) nanocomposite with ultraviolet (UV) photosensitive characteristic by a solid-state reaction based on the reduction of potassium permanganate (KMnO(4)) by aniline, which provides a new family and more selectivity for UV photosensitive nanomaterials in the future.
Hybrid nanomaterials based on manganese, cobalt, and lanthanum oxides of different morphology phase compositions were prepared using a facile single-step ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP) process tested as electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). The structural morphological characterizations completed by XRD SEM-EDS. Electrochemical performance was characterized cyclic voltammetry ...
Nowadays, Because of daily reduction of fossil fuels and environmental problems caused by using them, Fuel Cells attracted a major attention as clean and efficient way of generating electrical power. Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) have many advantages to other fuel cell types. High working temperature of SOFCs caused serious challenges including high oxidation rate of interconnects, Spallation ...
