The reaction mechanism for conversion of MnO nanoparticles to Mn-ferrite nanoparticles was studied, which involved sequential consumption of MnO and the growth of ferrite. The method could be applied to other ferrite nanoparticles including cobalt ferrite.

Low-temperature bainite, obtained by the transformation of austenite at temperatures as low as 200oC for times as large as several days, has been reported to have extraordinary mechanical properties including the highest reported hardness of any bainitic steel. The unusual properties are a consequence of the fine scale of the microstructure, which contains bainite plates with thickness in the r...

Problem statement. The formation of structural components starts with the hardening steels. Therefore, it is important to investigate influence chemical composition, temperature additional heating and cooling rate melt on purpose research – compare in Methods. To determine features state steels, we use microstructural analysis, X-ray microanalysis, diffraction method surface etching specimens n...

The temperature variation of magnetic anisotropy and coercive field of magnetoelastic manganese-substituted cobalt ferrites CoMnxFe2−xO4 with 0 x 0.6 was investigated. Major magnetic hysteresis loops were measured for each sample at temperatures over the range 10–400 K, using a superconducting quantum interference device magnetometer. The high-field regimes of the hysteresis loops were modeled ...

In order to screen one suitable catalyst for magnetically stabilized fluidized bed (MSFB) reactor in the process of oxidative carbonylation of phenol to diphenyl carbonate (DPC), Pd/MFe2O4 catalysts were chosen, then prepared and characterized by XRD, H2-TPR, XPS and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Compared to the other metal ion doped spinel ferrite catalysts, the catalytic activity of Pd...

Manganese ferrite (MnFe2O4) magnetic nanoparticles were successfully prepared by a sol-gel self-combustion technique using iron nitrate and manganese nitrate, followed by calcination at 150 °C for 24 h. Calcined sample was systematically characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and vibrational sample magnet...
