In this paper, how magnetic hysteresis loop and magnetic Barkhausen noise (MBN) measurements can provide non destructive information about the evolution of the microstructure during the annealing of cold rolled low carbon steel sheets is shown. The effect of recovery and recrystallization processes on hysteresis loop and MBN signal measurements is analysed and related to the microstructural cha...

Magnetic domains and the walls between are the subject of great interest because of the role they play in determining the electrical properties of ferromagnetic materials and as a means of manipulating electron spin in spintronic devices. However, much less attention has been paid to these effects in antiferromagnets, primarily because there is less awareness of their existence in antiferromagn...

In the present study, new multi-components spinel ferrite Zinc doped metallic ferrites are investigated. The synthesized compounds consisting of Zinc copper ferrite nanostructures were developed using the Co-precipitation technique. Powder X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD) confirms the formation of the spinel phase for all the samples. The lattice constant was studied through powder X-ray diffrac...

The influence of Co (Ni) and B co-doping on the structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of (Mn,Fe) 2 (P,Si) compounds is investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry, magnetic and direct temperature change measurements. It is found that Co (Ni) and B co-doping is an effective approach to tune both the Curie temperature and the thermal hysteresis of (Mn,F...

There are three theoretical models which purport to relate experimentallymeasurable or fabrication-controllable device properties to the memristor’s operation: 1. Strukov et al’s phenomenological model; 2. Georgiou et al’s Bernoulli rewrite of that phenomenological model; 3. Gale’s memory-conservation model. They differ in their prediction of the effect on memristance of changing the electrode ...

In this paper we experimentally studied GMI effect and soft magnetic behavior of Co-rich microwires. Correlation between magnetoelastic anisotropy and magnetic field dependences of diagonal and off-diagonal impedance components are observed. Low field GMI hysteresis, explained in terms of magnetoelastic anisotropy of microwires, has been suppressed by the bias current.

In this paper, we discuss the possibilities of realizing the magnetic multi-valued (MMV) recording in a magnetic coupled multilayer. The hysteresis loop of a double-layer system is studied analytically, and the conditions for achieving the MMV recording are given. The conditions are studied from different respects, and the phase diagrams for the anisotropic parameters are given in the end.

The dependences of neutron depolarization on applied magnetic field are deduced along trie magnetization hysteresis loop in terms of the Beau mortel of the critical state. The depolarization in uniaxial superconductors with the reversible magnetization, mcluding uniaxial magnetic superconductors,is also considered. A strong depolarization is expected ifthe neutrons travel along the vortex fines.

A half-sandwich organolanthanide complex, [(C6Me6)Dy(AlCl4)3], in which Dy(III) is coordinated with a π-bonded arene was synthesized and magnetically characterized. This complex displays slow magnetic relaxation and a hysteresis loop associated with single-ion magnet behavior. The orientation of the magnetic anisotropy axis is analyzed using ab initio calculations.

Thermal treatment of self-assembled FePt nanoparticles reduces the interparticle distances, resulting in dramatic changes in the type and strength of interparticle interactions. Consequently, magnetic properties such as the hysteresis and magnetization reversal mechanisms are strongly affected. It is suggested that controlled annealing of self-assembled nanoparticles may offer a novel approach ...
