Linear systems resulting from the electric-field integral equation (EFIE) become ill-conditioned, particularly for large-scale problems. Hence, effective preconditioners should be used to obtain the iterative solution with the multilevel fast multipole algorithm in a reasonable time. In this paper, we show that a threshold-based incomplete LU (ILU) preconditioner, i.e., ILUT, can be used safely...

in this paper, we will compare a homotopy perturbation algorithm and taylor series expansin method for a system of second kind fredholm integral equations. an application of he’s homotopy perturbation method is applied to solve the system of fredholm integral equations. taylor series expansin method reduce the system of integral equations to a linear system of ordinary differential equation.

Abstract—Propagation of arbitrary amplitude nonlinear Alfven waves has been investigated in low but finite β electron-positron-ion plasma including full ion dynamics. Using Sagdeev pseudopotential method an energy integral equation has been derived. The Sagdeev potential has been calculated for different plasma parameters and it has been shown that inclusion of ion parallel motion along the mag...

Fast and accurate solutions of large-scale electromagnetics problems involving homogeneous dielectric objects are considered. Problems are formulated with the electric and magnetic current combined-field integral equation and discretized with the Rao-Wilton-Glisson functions. Solutions are performed iteratively by using the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA). For the solution of large-...

Based on a methodological analysis of the effective action approach certain conceptual foundations of quantum field theory are reconsidered to establish a quest for an equation for the effective action. Relying on the functional integral formulation of Lagrangian quantum field theory a functional integral equation for the complete effective action is proposed which can be understood as a certai...

In this paper, we present a new formulation using the ( ) time-domain electric-field integral equation TD EFIE to obtain a transient scattering response from arbitrarily shaped conducting bodies. The time deri ati e of the magnetic ector potential is approximated with a central finite difference, and the scalar potential is time a eraged by di iding it into two terms. This approach with an impl...

In [5], a reduced basis method (RBM) for the electric field integral equation (EFIE) based on the boundary element method (BEM) is developed, based on a simplified a posteriori error estimator for the Greedy-based snapshot selection. In this paper, we extend this work and propose a certified RBM for the EFIE based on a mathematically rigorous a posteriori estimator. The main difficulty of the c...

The stability of shear flows of electrically conducting fluids, with respect to finite amplitude three-dimensional localized disturbances is considered. The time evolution of the fluid impulse integral, characterizing such disturbances, for the case of low magnetic Reynolds number is obtained by integrating analytically the vorticity equation. Analysis of the resulted equation reveals a new ins...
