A disturbance rejection based control approach, active disturbance rejection control (ADRC), is proposed for hysteretic systems with unknown characteristics. It is an appealing alternative to hysteresis compensation because it does not require a detailed model of hysteresis, by treating the nonlinear hysteresis as a common disturbance and actively rejecting it. The stability characteristic of t...

this paper presents a simple model predictive control (mpc) approach to control the power injection system (pis) for renewable energy applications. a dc voltage source and a single-phase inverter that is connected to the grid by an lcl filter form the pis. grid voltage is considered a disturbance for the system. for eliminating this disturbance, a modified model is proposed. it is usual to cont...

This paper studies the stochastic stability of genetic regulatory networks with intrinsic and extrinsic noises. A delay dependent stability condition with disturbance attenuation is derived for the stochastic genetic networks with time-varying delays. The developed criteria can be tested efficiently by Matlab LMI Control Toolbox. A numerical example with simulations is given to illustrate the e...

Stochastic versions of stability equations are developed in order to develop integrated models of transition and turbulence and to understand the effects of uncertain initial conditions on disturbance growth. Stochastic forms of the resonant triad equations, a high Reynolds number asymptotic theory, and the parabolized stability equations are developed.

In this note a simple formula for the real stability radius of uncertain positive linear continuous time systems is established and it is shown that the real stability radius coincides with the complex one. Arbitrary disturbance norms induced by monotonic vector norms (e.g. p-norms, 1 p 1) are considered. The distance of intervals of positive systems from instability is also determined.

A non-minimum phase nonlinear ship model from rudder to roll angle is used to design a stable controller for simultaneous roll damping and course keeping. The controller is stable in presence of 1st-order wave disturbance and modeling errors provided that the magnitude of the model error and disturbance are known. Stability is proved by using Lyapunov theory, and the simulation results showed e...

This paper addresses the disturbance attenuation problem in nonlinear moving horizon control. Conceptually a minimax formulation with a general dissipation constraint is suggested and theoretical results on closed-loop dissipation, L2 disturbance attenuation and stability are discussed. The implementation issue is attacked with respect to tracking a reference trajectory in the presence of exter...

The ways that energy and materials are produced, stored, and move across the land are processes that occur naturally, and have been the primary drivers that have shaped the development of habitat. In turn, human development of the land can significantly alter the magnitude and timing of the processes themselves. It is also true that these alterations can cause changes in habitat formation and s...

Conventional add-on feedback filters for mid-frequency (mid-f) repeatable runout (RRO) compensation in a hard disk drive (HDD) servo system either have a long filter transient or constitute a large sensitivity hump and poor stability margins. This paper presents a novel linear time-varying (LTV) group filtering scheme for the compensation of a few mid-f RRO harmonics. While having a short filte...

Focusing on the large maneuver penetration of hypersonic glide vehicle with multiple constraints and uncertain disturbance, a robust integrated guidance control law, which can achieve snake-shape maneuver, is designed. A acceleration command, in framework sine function, determined by altitude, target declination line sight missile-target distance, discussed. The law includes terminal constraint...
