The strangeness-changing (∆S = 1) weak baryon-baryon interaction is studied through the nonmesonic weak decay of double-Λ hypernuclei. Besides the usual nucleon-induced decay ΛN → NN we discuss novel hyperon-induced decay modes ΛΛ → ΛN and ΛΛ → ΣN .
