let $r$ be a ring‎, ‎and let $n‎, ‎d$ be non-negative integers‎. ‎a right $r$-module $m$ is called $(n‎, ‎d)$-projective if $ext^{d+1}_r(m‎, ‎a)=0$ for every $n$-copresented right $r$-module $a$‎. ‎$r$ is called right $n$-cocoherent if every $n$-copresented right $r$-module is $(n+1)$-coprese-nted‎, ‎it is called a right co-$(n,d)$-ring if every right $r$-module is $(n‎, ‎d)$-projective‎. ‎$r$ ...

Abstract: Let be a commutative ring and be a unitary module. We define a semiprime submodule of a module and consider various properties of it. Also we define semi-radical of a submodule of a module and give a number of its properties. We define modules which satisfy the semi-radical formula and present the existence of such a module.

An R-module M is called epi-retractable if every submodule of MR is a homomorphic image of M. It is shown that if R is a right perfect ring, then every projective slightly compressible module MR is epi-retractable. If R is a Noetherian ring, then every epi-retractable right R-module has direct sum of uniform submodules. If endomorphism ring of a module MR is von-Neumann regular, then M is semi-...

The concepts of free modules, projective modules, injective modules and the likeform an important area in module theory. The notion of free fuzzy modules was introducedby Muganda as an extension of free modules in the fuzzy context. Zahedi and Ameriintroduced the concept of projective and injective L-modules. In this paper we give analternate definition for projective L-modules. We prove that e...

Commutative Jordan algebras play a central part in orthogonal models. We apply the concepts of genealogical tree of an Jordan algebra associated to a linear mixed model in an experiment conducted to study optimal choosing of dentist materials. Apart from the conclusions of the experiment itself, we show how to proceed in order to take advantage of the great possibilities that Jordan algebras an...

A purely geometric method for constructing reflections in Jordan curves on the Riemann sphere based on hyperbolic geodesics is introduced. It is then possible to investigate the relations between the geometry of a Jordan domain D and the properties of the reflection by studying properties of hyperbolic geodesics. This idea is used to characterize unbounded Jordan John domains in terms of reflec...

We study the elements in the structure group of an algebraic curvature tensor R by analyzing Jordan normal forms. Because every matrix has a unique Jordan normal form representation, up to a permutation of the Jordan Blocks, we are able to determine which matrices taking on a specific form will be in the structure group of some algebraic curvature tensor. A method for analyzing these forms is d...

This volume has emerged from a theme session with the same title as that of this introductory chapter, organized at the Towards a Science of Consciousness conference in Budapest, on July 23, 2007. Both the session and this volume have been motivated by the wish to redress the peculiarly low profile of informed discussions of the place of language within the modern field of consciousness studies...
