Multivalent ions induce attractions between polyelectrolytes, but lead to finite-sized bundles rather than macroscopic phase separation. The kinetics of aggregation and bundle formation of actin is tracked using two different fluorescently labeled populations of F-actin. It is found that the growth mode of these bundles evolves with time and salt concentration, varying from an initial lateral g...

We study certain moduli spaces of stable vector bundles of rank two on cubic and quartic threefolds. In many cases under consideration, it turns out that the moduli space is complete and irreducible and a general member has vanishing intermediate cohomology. In one case, all except one component of the moduli space has such vector bundles.

To understand in detail duality between heterotic string and F theory compactifications, it is important to understand the construction of holomorphic G bundles over elliptic Calabi-Yau manifolds, for various groups G. In this paper, we develop techniques to describe these bundles, and make several detailed comparisons between the heterotic string and F theory.

We prove the Framing Principle in full generality and use it to compute the higher FR-torsion for all smooth bundles with oriented closed even dimensional manifold fibers. We also show that the higher complex torsion invariants of bundles with closed almost complex fibers are multiples of generalized Miller-Morita-Mumford classes.

In the tomato plant water flows through primary xylem in accordance with Poiseuille's law. This relation and the analogy between Poiseuille's and Ohm's law were employed to calculate rates of flow and differences in pressure within vascular bundles when transpiration rates from individual leaves were known. The resistance of vascular bundles to flow was calculated from a modification of Poiseui...

in this work the conduction of ion-water solution through two discrete bundles of armchair carbon and silicon carbide nanotubes, as useful membranes for water desalination, is studied. in order that studies on different types of nanotubes be comparable, the chiral vectors of c and si-c nanotubes are selected as (7,7) and (5,5), respectively, so that    a similar volume of fluid is investigated ...

The use of Information Technology (IT) in organizations is subject to various kinds of potential risks. Risk management is a key component of project management enables an organization to accomplish its mission(s). However, IT projects have often been found to be complex and risky to implement in organizations. The organizational relevance and risk of IT projects make it important for organizat...

ABSTRACT :Let MISimp,IP2n+1(k) be the moduli space of stable symplectic instanton bundles on IP with second Chern class c2 = k (it is a closed subscheme of the moduli space MIIP2n+1(k)) We prove that the dimension of its Zariski tangent space at a special (symplectic) instanton bundle is 2k(5n − 1) + 4n − 10n + 3 , k ≥ 2. It follows that special symplectic instanton bundles are smooth points fo...

Let γ(G) be the domination number of a graph G. It is shown that for any k ≥ 0 there exists a Cartesian graph bundle B φF such that γ(B φF ) = γ(B)γ(F )−2k. The domination numbers of Cartesian bundles of two cycles are determined exactly when the fibre graph is a triangle or a square. A statement similar to Vizing’s conjecture on strong graph bundles is shown not to be true by proving the inequ...

Anatomy of the retinal nerve fiber layer in rabbit eyes is studied by light microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. It is demonstrated that retinal striations noted ophthalmoscopically in these eyes represent individual fiber bundles, Axon bundles are compartmentalized within tissue tunnels comprised of elongated processes of glial cell origin.
