This thesis describes the design of a 6-bit CMOS folding and interpolating Analog to Digital Converter (ADe). Folding and interpolating techniques can be used in CMOS flash type ADCs so that less die area and power dissipation are used. while at the same time maintaining high-speed operation. The fundamentals of the CMOS folding and interpolating circuits are covered, and some of the major desi...

We study the convergence of Laurent polynomials that interpolate functions on the boundary of a circular annulus. The points of interpolation are chosen to be uniformly distributed on the two circles of the boundary. A maximal convergence theorem for functions analytic on the closure of the annulus is proved. We point out that, in general, there is no equiconvergence theorem between the interpo...

I propose a finite-difference offset continuation filter for interpolating seismic reflection data. The filter is constructed from the offset continuation differential equation and is applied on frequency slices in the log-stretch frequency domain. Synthetic and real data tests demonstrate that the proposed method succeeds in structurally complex situations where more simplistic approaches fail.

In this paper, G continuous cubic spline interpolation of data points in R, based on a discrete approximation of the strain energy, is studied. Simple geometric conditions on data are presented that guarantee the existence of the interpolant. The interpolating spline is regular, loop-, cuspand fold-free.

By utilizing different scalar equalities obtained via Hermite's interpolating polynomial, we will obtain lower and upper bounds for the difference in Ando's inequality and in the Edmundson-Lah-Ribariv c inequality for solidarities that hold for a class of $n$-convex functions. As an application, main results are applied to some operator means and relative operator entropy.

1. Abstract We present an incomplete series expansion (ISE) as a basis for function approximation. The ISE is expressed in terms of an approximate Hessian matrix which may contain second, third and even higher order ‘main’ or diagonal terms, but which excludes ‘interaction’ or off-diagonal terms. From the ISE, a family of approximate interpolating functions may be derived. The interpolating fun...

Joint distributions over many variables are frequently modeled by decomposing them into products of simpler, lower-dimensional conditional distributions, such as in sparsely connected Bayesian networks. However, au tomatically learning such models can be very computationally expensive when there are many datapoints and many continuous vari ables with complex nonlinear relationships, particula...

We propose a simple and eecient method to interpolate landmark matching by a non-ambiguous mapping (a diieomorphism). This method is based on spline interpolation, and on recent techniques developed for the estimation of ows of diieomorphisms. Experimental results show interpolations of remarkable quality. Moreover, the method provides a Riemannian distance on sets of landmarks (with xed car-di...
