The effects of 1 gold salt, of betamethasone, and of acetylsalicylate on the chemotaxis of human neutrophils were compared in normal volunteers by means of a modified Boyden chamber. The gold salt inhibited chemotaxis by reducing both cell migration capacity and the capacity of plasma to attract the cell. Betamethasone reduced cell migration capacity, but not the chemoattractant capacity of pla...
The regulation of cell motility is central to living systems. Consequently, cell migration assays are some of the most frequently used in vitro assays. This article provides a comprehensive, detailed review of in vitro cell migration assays both currently in use and possible with existing technology. Emphasis is given to two-dimensional migration assays using densely organized cells such as the...
Background. To explore the effect of ASMq on proliferation and migration ability of the fibroblast derived from HS of donor (HSFbs) in vitro. Methods. The HSFbs were cultured from tissue specimens and passaged to the 3~4 generation, which were treated with the different concentrations of ASMq and 5-Fu from 1 to 11 days. The difference of HSFbs proliferation activity was analyzed by the CCK-8 me...
This paper considers the relationship between economic factors and national security. While considering a broad number of issue areas, the principal theme of the course is the way in which economic factors (as immigration) fundamentally influence the national security of the region, and the way in which those factors shape and constrain the strategies chosen to pursue that security. South-South...
The emergence of functional neuronal connectivity in the developing cerebral cortex depends on 1) neural progenitor differentiation, which leads to the generation of appropriate number and types of neurons, and 2) neuronal migration, which enables the appropriate positioning of neurons so that the correct patterns of functional synaptic connectivity between neurons can emerge. In this review, w...
Hydrocortisone inhibits the ameboid migration of human leucocytes when added in vitro. The dose-response curve for the reaction between this steroid and leucocytes can be best expressed by a logarithmic plot of the steroid concentrations. Tetrahydrocortisone and desoxycorticosterone had no effect on in vitro leucotyte migration.
