Using both the Born-Oppenheimer idea and the de Broglie-Bohm interpretation of wavefunction we represent in a different way the semiclassical quantum gravity from the Wheeler-DeWitt equation in an oscillating regime which can preserve completely the unitary quantum evolution of a matter field at the expense of a nonlinear gravitational field equation, but has the same asymptotic limit as the ot...

generally, gravity anomaly is the difference between the observed acceleration of earth's gravity and a normal value. topography (all masses above geoid) plays a main role in definition of the gravity anomaly. based on modeling of the effect of topography, there are different models of gravity anomaly such as free-air and bouguer anomaly. the main goal of the bouguer anomaly is removing of...

In a series of recent papers we have introduced a new interpretation of quantum mechanics, which for brevity we will call the Montevideo interpretation. In it, the quantum to classical transition is achieved via a phenomenon called “undecidability” which stems from environmental decoherence supplemented with a fundamental mechanism of loss of coherence due to gravity. Due to the fact that the i...

In the automotive domain the standard ISO 26262 places significant emphasis on the assignment of Automotive Safety Integrity Levels (ASILs). In particular much of Part 3 of the standard is dedicated to the process that determines the three factors that contribute to the final assigned ASIL value: exposure, severity and controllability. In this paper we examine some of the issues that the author...

Stabilization of mechanical control systems by the method of controlled Lagrangians and matching is used to analyze asymptotic stabilization of systems whose underlying dynamics are governed by the Euler-Poincaré equations. In particular, we analyze asymptotic stabilization of a satellite. Copyright c © 2000 IFAC

The paper investigates the status quo of technology and science for compiler safety methods. We consider specific requirements for compilers and generators for automotive applications and discuss established and newly emerging methods of compiler safety in this context. We put the main focus on compiler verification methods on the one hand and testing technology on the other hand and discuss th...

We show that the norm of the commutator defines “almost a metric” on the quotient space of commuting matrices, in the sense that it is a semi-metric satisfying the triangle inequality asymptotically for large matrices drawn from a “good” distribution. We provide theoretical analysis of this results for several distributions of matrices, and show numerical experiments confirming this observation.
