Visceral pseudoaneurysm is an uncommon but serious complication of acute or chronic pancreatitis. It affects the splenic artery in 40% of cases [1]. Traditional treatment includes surgical excision or ligation and endovascular techniques [2, 3]. This article describes the first reported case of a large splenic artery pseudoaneurysm that was managed by endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided thrombin...

Pseudoaneurysms of the internal iliac artery are uncommon and are usually associated with trauma. We report the case of a 32-year-old man with a 15-day history of trauma to the abdomen and edema of the lower left limb. An arteriogram demonstrated proximal occlusion of the popliteal artery and a pseudoaneurysm in the internal iliac artery. Embolization of the pseudoaneurysm was performed using s...

Pseudoaneurysm of the superior gluteal artery (SGA) is very rare and the most common causes are blunt or penetrating pelvic traumas. Although pseudoaneurysm can be asymptomatic at the time of initial trauma, it can be symptomatic weeks, months, even years after initial trauma. We present a case of a ruptured superior gluteal artery pseudoaneurysm with hemorrhagic shock twenty days after a bomb ...

We report a case of a 71-year old woman with right inferior epigastric artery pseudoaneurysm following laceration by a computed tomography-guided 18G biopsy needle. The laceration was initially treated with placement of retained sutures; however the patient turned hemodynamically unstable 41 days later. Percutaneous ultrasound-guided injection of 1500 U of thrombin solution resulted in almost c...

Posttraumatic pseudoaneurysms of the lateral plantar artery are rare. We report the case of a 31-year-old woman with a painful pseudoaneurysm of the lateral plantar artery resulting from a deep plantar cut injury. The pseudoaneurysm was successfully treated by performing a transarterial "frontdoor-backdoor" coil embolization technique, which is a minimally invasive alternative to conventional l...

We describe a patient who developed a late pseudoaneurysm after left main trunk (LMT) stenting with paclitaxel-eluting stent, discovered during coronary angiography. Transesophageal echocardiography and contrast-enhanced computed tomographic scan revealed a pe...
