The need for new tools for investigating biological systems on a large scale is becoming acute, particularly with respect to computationally intensive analyses such as comparisons of many three-dimensional protein structures. Structure superposition is a valuable approach for understanding evolutionary relationships and for the prediction of function. But while available tools are adequate for ...
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) due to 21-hydroxylase deficiency is an autosomal recessive disorder and is the most common cause of ambiguous genitalia in the newborn. The genes encoding 21-hydroxylase, CYP21A2, and tenascin-X (TNX), TNXB, are located within the HLA complex, in a region of high gene density termed the RCCX module. The module has multiple pseudogenes as well as tandem repea...
Let $(R,underline{m})$ be a commutative Noetherian local ring and $M$ be a non-zero finitely generated $R$-module. We show that if $R$ is almost Cohen-Macaulay and $M$ is perfect with finite projective dimension, then $M$ is an almost Cohen-Macaulay module. Also, we give some necessary and sufficient condition on $M$ to be an almost Cohen-Macaulay module, by using $Ext$ functors.
Mixed methods research is increasingly popular both within and beyond education because of the advantages offered by combining qualitative quantitative methods. Some mixed research, however, does not fully harness potential or depth that has to offer. In this article, I consider some in terms how can contribute addressing “wicked problems,” theory generation, culturally responsive research. the...
Innovative companies that generate a variety of products and services for satisfying customers’ specific needs are invoking and increasing research on mass-customized products, but the majority of their efforts are still focused on general consumers who are without disabilities. This research is motivated by the need to provide a basis of universal design guidelines and methods, primarily becau...
In this work, we introduce $H^*$-condition on the set of submodules of a module. Let $M$ be a module. We say $M$ satisfies $H^*$ provided that for every submodule $N$ of $M$, there is a direct summand$D$ of $M$ such that $(N+D)/N$ and $(N+D)/D$ are cosingular. We show that over a right perfect right $GV$-ring,a homomorphic image of a $H^*$ duo module satisfies $H^*$.
