This paper reformulates and decides a certain conjecture in Dunn’s ‘Relevant Predication 1: The Formal Theory’ (Journal of Philosophical Logic 16, 347-381, 1987). This conjecture of Dunn’s relates his object-language characterisation of a property’s being relevant in a variable x to certain grammatical characterisations of relevance, analogous to some given by Helman, in ‘Relevant Implication a...

Synaptic depression at conventional synapses is usually caused by strong or prolonged stimuli, like tetanic bursts of afferent fiber discharge at high frequencies. In this issue of Neuron, Dunn and Rieke report that, in the retina, even the weakest stimuli, single photons, can lead to synaptic depression at ribbon-type synapses and adaptation of neuronal output to ambient light levels.
This paper describes a series of mathematical functions implemented by the author in the commercial algorithmic software language ArtWonk, written by John Dunn, which are offered with that language as resources for composers. It gives a history of the development of the functions, with an emphasis on how I developed them for use in my compositions.

In this work we study an abstract formulation of a problem posed by J.M. Dunn, T.J. Hagge et al. about the inclusion of varieties generated by the modular ortholattice of subspaces of C. We shall prove that, this abstract formulation is equivalent to the direct irreducibility for atomic complete modular ortholattices.
