In this paper, we prove that a real tensor is strictly semi-positive if and only if the corresponding tensor complementarity problem has a unique solution for any nonnegative vector and a real tensor is semi-positive if and only if the corresponding tensor complementarity problem has a unique solution for any positive vector. It is showed that a real symmetric tensor is a (strictly) semi-positi...
The Eigenvalue Complementarity Problem (EiCP) differs from the traditional eigenvalue problem in that the primal and dual variables belong to a closed and convex cone K and its dual, respectively, and satisfy a complementarity condition. In this paper we investigate the solution of the SecondOrder Cone EiCP (SOCEiCP) where K is the Lorentz cone. We first show that the SOCEiCP reduces to a speci...
this research with explaining of concept of reason and distending with knowledge talks about ethical complementarity of human and relation between that concept and growth of reason with emphasis on ghorar-al-hekam book of imam ali. in this article, we will receive to depth relation between reason and ethic on imam ali’s speeches and ethic without reason isn’t complete and reason without ethic c...
An extension of the linear complementarity problem (LCP) of mathematical programming is the so-called rational complementarity problem (RCP). This problem occurs if com-plementarity conditions are imposed on input and output variables of linear dynamical in-put/state/output systems. The resulting dynamical systems are called linear complementar-ity systems. Since the RCP is crucial both in issu...
We introduce several new results on the Quadratic Eigenvalue Complementarity Problem (QEiCP), focusing on the nonsymmetric case, i,e, without making symmetry assumptions on the matrices defining the problem. First we establish a new sufficient condition for existence of solutions of this problem, which is somewhat more manageable than previously existent ones. This condition works through the i...
A parametrized version of the nonlinear complementarity problem is formulated. The existence of a continuation of a solution is investigated and sufficient and necessary conditions for the monotonicity of such a continuation are given. The notions of strong and uniform monotonicity, originated in the linear theory, are discussed, and the theorems of the linear theory are generalized.
The linear complementarity problem (LCP) is one of the most widely studied mathematical programming problems. The theory of LCP can be extended to oriented matroids which are combinatorial abstractions of linear subspaces of Euclidean spaces. This paper briefly surveys the LCP, oriented matroids and algorithms for the LCP on oriented matroids. key words: linear complementarity problem, oriented...
