In this paper, a high frequency dual PLL for a radio frequency transceiver is proposed. This new PLL architecture, which relaxes the trade off design constrains, consists in two PLL loops that drive the same VCO. The first loop has a high current charge pump that drives the high gain VCO side and is aimed to improve the settling time performance. The second loop has a low current charge pump th...

In this paper we discuss the design of a low-voltage (1.5V), continuous-time, biquadratic CMOS filter based on Dynamic Gate Biasing (DGB). We begin by discussing the filter’s structure and its tuning mechanism. The filter uses transconductanceC cells and implements low-pass, bandpass and highpass transfer functions. The transconductances are tuned using the gate voltages of MOSFETs operating in...

This paper proposes a low-voltage, high performance charge pump circuit suitable for implementation in standard CMOS technologies. The proposed charge pump utilises the cross-connected NMOS, voltage doubler, as a pumping stage. For low-voltage operation, where the performance of the NMOS is limited due to body effect, PMOS are used to increase the pumping gain. Simulations at 50 MHz have shown ...

There is a Nahm transform for two-dimensional gauge fields which establishes a one-to-one correspondence between the orbit space of U (N) gauge fields with topological charge k defined on a torus and that of U (k) gauge fields with charge N on the dual torus. The main result of this paper is to show that a similar duality transform cannot exist for CP N instantons. This fact establishes a signi...

The additive noise response of a charge pump phase-locked loop in the synchronous mode of operation has been studied. In order to determine the tracking and noise performances of the loop, mean square values of tracking error and local oscillator phase jitter have been analytically obtained. Analytical results agree well with the simulation results obtained here and elsewhere [3]. The analysis ...

ADi erentially controlled monolithic LC-VCO along with a di erential charge pump are used to implement a di erential PLL for substrate noise immunity. The di erential VCO control is achieved with minimal increase in the power consumption and without sacri cing the tuning range. In a 0.5 m CMOS technology the measured VCO phase noise is -119dBc @1.0MHz and the tuning range is 26% of the 1.25GHz ...

A 0.5–5 GHz wide-range multiphase delay-locked loop (MDLL) with a calibrated charge pump is presented. A multiperiod-locked technique is used to enhance the input frequency range of a MDLL and avoid the harmonic-locked problem. The charge pump current is also calibrated to reduce the static phase error. This MDLL has been fabricated in 0.13m CMOS process. The measured root-mean-square and peak-...

We search for CP-violating charge asymmetries (alpha(CP)) in the B meson decays to K(+/-)pi(-/+), K(+/-)pi(0), K(0)(S)pi(+/-), K(+/-)eta('), and omega pi(+/-). Using 9.66 million upsilon(4S) decays collected with the CLEO detector, the statistical precision on alpha(CP) is in the range of +/-0.12 to +/-0.25 depending on decay mode. While CP-violating asymmetries of up to +/-0.5 are possible wit...

The mechanical stability is an important phenomenon which governs many applications based properties of membranes. The inorganic materials of membrane may have been synthesized by qualitative the novel sol-gel or co-precipitation methods of material synthesis. The mMembranes of cobalt (CP) and nickel (NP) composites have been was designed by mixing of the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with cobalt ph...
