New data for the $^\mbox{nat}$V(p,x) reactions have been measured in range 26-70 MeV, with production of nuclides $^{47}$Sc, $^{43}$Sc, $^{44m}$Sc, $^{44g}$Sc, $^{46}$Sc, $^{48}$Sc, $^{42}$K, $^{43}$K, $^{48}$V, $^{48}$Cr, $^{49}$Cr, and $^{51}$Cr. The focus is on a $\beta^-$-emitter suitable innovative radiotheranostic applications nuclear medicine. cross sections this radionuclide its contami...

Roman Space Telescope will survey about 17 million emission-line galaxies over a range of redshifts. Its main targets are H$\alpha$ at low redshifts and [O III] high The estimate the redshift these with single line identification. This suggests that other may be misidentified as targets. In particular, it is hard to distinguish between H$\beta$ lines two close in wavelength hence photometric in...

We report the use of the organic crystal DAST as a freely propagating electromagnetic-wave sensor at terahertz (THz) frequency. We also report the result of using a DAST crystal as a mid-IR THz emitter. Compared with the optical rectification from our best ZnTe emitter, that obtained by use of DAST demonstrates a sixfold enhancement of radiation at 7-20 THz.

We show that a three-level lambda quantum emitter with equal spontaneous emission rates on both optically active transitions can absorb an incident single-photon pulse with a probability approaching unity, provided that the focused light profile matches that of the emitter dipole emission. Even with realistic focusing geometries, our results could find applications in long-distance entanglement...

The notion of a spherical angular spectrum leads to the decomposition of the field amplitude on a spherical emitter into a sum of spherical waves that converge onto the Fourier sphere of the emitter. Unlike the usual angular spectrum, the spherical angular spectrum is propagated as the field amplitude, in a way that can be expressed by a fractional order Fourier transform.

A new system for CO2 measurement (0-100%) by based on a paired emitter-detector diode arrangement as a colorimetric detection system is described. Two different configurations were tested: configuration 1 (an opposite side configuration) where a secondary inner-filter effect accounts for CO2 sensitivity. This configuration involves the absorption of the phosphorescence emitted from a CO2-insens...

The Schottky electron emitter is the most frequently used electron source in electron microscopes. A suppressor electrode around the emitter is usually employed to prevent emission from the shank of the cathode. A concept of operating the Schottky emitter without the suppressor electrode is proposed with the aim of lowering the potential of the extractor electrode. Simulation results show that ...

The work presents the design of an integrated system consisting of a high-pressure electroosmotic (EO) micropump and a microporous monolithic emitter, which together generate a stable and robust electrospray. Both the micropump and electrospray emitter are fabricated using a sol-gel process. Upon application of an electric potential of sufficient amplitude (>2 kV), the pump delivers fluids with...

Electric field distribution and field emission current over the surface of point (sphere-on-cone) and wedge-shaped defects on a plane substrate are studied. It is found emission current due to wedge-shaped defects is more sensitive to emitter-anode distance than in case of point conical defects. This property is consequence of greater emission area of wedge-shaped defects and has important prac...

We report the serendipitous discovery of an [O III] $\lambda\lambda$4959/5007 and H$\alpha$ line emitter in Epoch Reionization (EoR) with JWST commissioning data taken NIRCam wide field slitless spectroscopy (WFSS) mode. Located $\sim$55" away from flux calibrator P330-E, this galaxy exhibits bright lines detected at 3.7, 9.9 5.7$\sigma$, respectively, a spectroscopic redshift $z=6.112\pm0.001$...
