A function H(x,z), in the integer variables x and z, is called hypergeometric if H(x+1,z)/H(x,z) and H(x,z+1)/H(x,z) are rational functions of x and z. In this article we consider only those hypergeometric functions which are a ratio of products of factorials (we call such hypergeometric functions purehypergeometric). A P-recursive function is a function that satisfies a linear recurrence relat...
In the present paper, we have established sufficient conditions for Gaus-sian hypergeometric functions to be in certain subclass of analytic univalent functions in the unit disc $mathcal{U}$. Furthermore, we investigate several mapping properties of Hohlov linear operator for this subclass and also examined an integral operator acting on hypergeometric functions.
In this paper, the Stein-Chen method and the w-function associated with the negative hypergeometric random variable are used to give a result of the Poisson approximation to the negative hypergeometric distribution in terms of the total variation distance. Some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the result obtained. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: 60F05
The purpose of the present article is to introduce several new subclasses of meromorphic functions defined by using the multiplier transformation and hypergeometric function and investigate various inclusion relationships for these subclasses. Some interesting applications involving a certain class of hypergeometric functions are also considered. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 30C45.
By using the integral representation of Gaussian hypergeometric function, we obtain Hilbert type inequalities with some fractional kernels and non-conjugate parameters. Such inequalities include the constant factors expressed in terms of hypergeometric functions. Further, we obtain the best possible constants for some general cases, in conjugate case.
General theory of elliptic hypergeometric series and integrals is outlined. Main attention is paid to the examples obeying properties of the “classical” special functions. In particular, an elliptic analogue of the Gauss hypergeometric function and some of its properties are described. Present review is based on author’s habilitation thesis [Spi7] containing a more detailed account of the subject.
We calculate 3-loop master integrals for heavy quark correlators and the 3-loop QCD corrections to the ρ-parameter. They obey non-factorizing differential equations of second order with more than three singularities, which cannot be factorized in Mellin-N space either. The solution of the homogeneous equations is possible in terms of convergent close integer power series as 2F1 Gauß hypergeomet...
In [Koepf (1992)] it was shown how for a given holonomic function a representation as a formal power series of hypergeometric type can be determined algorithmically. This algorithm – that we call FPS algorithm (Formal Power Series) – combines three steps to obtain the desired representation. The authors implemented this algorithm in the computer algebra system Maple as c̀onvert/FormalPowerSeries...
