In the title compound, [FePt(C(5)H(5))(C(24)H(19)NP)Cl(2)]·0.5CH(2)Cl(2), the Pt(II) atom adopts a distorted square-planar geometry defined by one P atom and one N atom from the bidentate [2-(diphenyl-phosphino)phenyl-imino-meth-yl]ferro-cene ligand and two Cl atoms.
