In this paper, we proposed a new supervised word sense disambiguation (WSD) method based on a pairwise alignment technique, which is used generally to measure a similarity between DNA sequences. The new method obtained 2.8%-14.2% improvements of the accuracy in our experiment for WSD.
This paper presents a new WSD method, based in Magnini and Strapparava’s idea of using WordNet Domains in WSD. Our approach, exploits information contained in glosses of WorNet Domains and introduces a new lexical resource “Relevant Domains”. The new method developed is based in this new lexical resource and has been tested with the test data for the English all-words task in SENSEVAL2.
This paper presents the automatic construction of a Korean WordNet from pre-existing lexical resources. A set of automatic WSD techniques is described for linking Korean words collected from a bilingual MRD to English WordNet synsets. We will show how individual linking provided by each WSD method is then combined to produce a Korean WordNet for nouns.
