In 2006, Smith et al. published a new table of constant weight codes, updating existing tables originally created by Brouwer et al. This paper improves upon these results by filling in 9 missing constant weight codes, all of which are optimal by the second Johnson bound. This completes the tables for A(n, 16, 9) and A(n, 18, 10) up to n = 63 and corrects some A(n, 14, 8).

Characteristics of existing table macro collections are given. A kaleidoscope of tables—as next best to a taxonomy—is presented. Newly introduced is the class of bordered tables. Variations in print—ruled, nonruled, framed, nonframed, dotted, centered, flushed—can be obtained via the invoke of parameter setting macros; no modification of user mark up. Simultaneous row and column spans, partial ...

Many web databases can be seen as providing partial and overlapping information about entities in the world. To answer queries effectively, it is required to integrate the information about the individual entities that are fragmented over multiple tables. At first blush this is just the inverse of a traditional database normalization problem the universal relation is to be reconstructed from th...

The authors regret that some of the values in Tables 2e4 were rounded up incorrectly in the original article. The corrected values are in the tables below. While this omission does not change the conclusions, it is nonetheless an issue for colleagues who wish to calculate the individuals' scores in detail. The authors would also like to note that the CFPT inversion index in Table 4 was expresse...

Chamfer distances are discrete distances based on the propagation of local distances, or weights defined in a mask. The medial axis, i.e. the centers of the maximal disks (disks which are not contained in any other disk), is a powerful tool for shape representation and analysis. The extraction of maximal disks is performed in the general case with comparison tests involving look-up tables repre...

Morphological transformations are commonly used to perform a variety of image processing tasks. However, morphological operations are time-consuming procedures since they involve ordering and min/max computation of numbers resulting from image interaction with structuring elements. This paper presents a new method that can be used to speed up basic morphological operations for binary images. To...

the important consideration for large tables and lists. A table element requires about 3.5 times the amount of space as a list element (the exact amount depends on the size of the table and how it is constructed). There are several reasons for this. One is that in tables, keys must be stored along with the values. For lists, on the other hand, keys are just positions and are implicit. Another r...

It has long been understood that availability of thermophysical and thermochemical property data is vital to scientific research and industrial design. For over 65 years, the Thermodynamics Research Center (TRC) has been publishing tables of critically evaluated data covering physical and thermodynamic properties of pure compounds, TRC Tables-Hydrocarbons and TRC Tables-Non-Hydrocarbons. Over t...
