The peduncle anatomy in 35 populations, which belonged to 18 taxa of Scrophularia L., were studied. Am-ong 37 quantitative and qualitative characters related to peduncle anatomy, several traits showed more taxonomic value for taxa delimitation, including presence of palisade parenchyma and the number of its layers, the presence of phloem fiber, the presence of bundle sheath, the presence of lam...

In this thesis work, we characterize lasers based on self-organized In(Ga)As quantum dots (QDs). Intrinsic static and dynamic lasing properties of QD lasers are surveyed in high performance devices with a variety of device geometry, cavity loss and QD gain system. At first, the carrier and gain processes are analyzed that affect the temperature dependence of QD lasers. The characteristic temper...

Theoretically it was determined that changing longitudinal rigidity of waveguide the longitudinal vibrations amplitudes are increasing. The cross-section of waveguide is decreasing from the generating point towards its free end. Experimental results show that the free end of the waveguide is influenced by longitudinal vibrations only, which could be used for blood vessels cleaning.

The problem of reconstructing the 3D face using one image captured from a viewpoint arises in many fields of science and engineering, this paper propose the novel approach for reconstructing the 3D face by using ellipse fitting technique from only one 2.5D image. The 2.5D face image is captured from any viewpoint between -45 degree and +45 degree. The cross section across the head is fitted by ...

In this paper, a polarization-insensitive reverse-ridge AlGaAs waveguide is designed for the supercontinuum generation . considered wavelength range from 3.4 to 8 μ m, dispersion profiles, nonlinear coefficients, and effective mode field areas quasi-TE quasi-TM modes coincide well. The simulation results show that when pump pulse with of 4.2 peak power 4.8 kW, width 90 fs launched into anomalou...

In this Article dispersion characteristic of conventional optical waveguide with helical winding at core – cladding interface has been obtained. The model dispersion characteristics of optical waveguide with helical winding at core-cladding interface have been obtained for five different pitch angles. This paper includes dispersion characteristics of optical waveguide with helical winding, and ...

AbsfrucfA novel algorithm designed to compute efficiently and accurately the high-frequency electromagnetic scattering from open-ended waveguide cavities is presented. The cavity is converted into a stepped-waveguide model so that the field spectra are propagated, forward and backward, along each waveguide section. As boundary conditions for perfect electric conductors are applied via image the...

The tutorial gave an overview of the treatment of variable binding in natural language semantics. A set of data was singled out, two families of approaches to deal with reflexivity were presented which yield a comparable data coverage, and the cross-linguistic variation of reflexivization strategies was reviewed. The modelling options map neatly onto the variation found in natural

Anomalies persist in the foundations of ridge regression as set forth in Hoerl and Kennard (1970) and subsequently. Conventional ridge estimators and their properties do not follow on constraining lengths of solution vectors using LaGrange’s method, as claimed. Estimators so constrained have singular distributions; the proposed solutions are not necessarily minimizing; and heretofore undiscover...

In this paper, we designed a sliding waveguide array antenna that can be beam-steered via mechanical manipulation. This reduces the vulnerability of electronic beam-steering radars mounted on ships or aircraft to electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attacks. The design frequency was 9.375 GHz. First, proposed adjust phase difference between arrayed antennas by changing length rectangular using slide. Su...
