We propose a novel technique for single user MIMO-OFDM indoor visible light communication systems that optimizes the orientation angle of each photodetector in the receiver. Numerical results show that our technique outperforms conventional orientation method. OCIS codes: (060.4510) Optical communications; (060.2630) Frequency modulation
The fast growth of wireless applications in recent years has driven intense efforts to design highly integrated, high-performance, low-cost RFICs. Both low-IF [33]-[37] and double-quadrature [38]-[40] architectures have been adopted as promising receiver topologies to realize these design goals because they combine the advantages of heterodyne and direct-conversion architectures. In the low-IF ...
The paper presents the hardware architecture of the Galileo PRS receiver developed within the BaSE project, and describes the core technologies required for using the Galileo PRS service. The approaches for increasing the robustness against radio frequency interference by using single sideband tracking techniques, adaptive notch filtering and pulse blanking are described. The potential of utili...
The modern day Electronic Warfare(EW) receivers are required to match with the current day radar technologies like the Low Probability of Intercept(LPI) radars with various intra pulse modulations such as Chirp, Barker, Frank, Poly-phase and Poly time codes. This paper presents the state of the art single board Digital Receiver solution for intercepting and analyzing complex radar signals. Also...
This paper discusses wireless systems using antenna arrays at both the transmitter and receiver. Spacetime coding is used to exploit the parallelism of the radio channels formed. Theoretical results on signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) degradation due to imperfect channel estimation are used to determine the optimum ratio of pilot to data symbols to be used in a Rayleigh fading environment. Exact res...
Our goal is to present an overview of a class of low complexity detectors working in linear fading multipath channels. In addition, we present briefly a unified theory based on the optimal maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) receiver concept (Woodward & Davies, 1952), which in additive Gaussian noise leads to the estimator-correlator receiver (Price, 1956; Middleton, 1957; Kailath, 1960; Kai...
