Primary cutaneous CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders (LPDs) are the second most common group of primary cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCLs). The spectrum of LPDs includes lymphomatoid papulosis (LyP), primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (C-ALCL) and borderline cases. The term "borderline lesions" refers to cases where histological features are similar to LyP, but clinically behave ...

The implication of MALT1 gene in the pathogenesis of primary cutaneous marginal zone B-cell lymphomas (PCMZL) has been a matter of controversy. We examined the presence of MALT1 translocations in a series of 23 PCMZL. FISH assay with a MALT1 dual color break apart translocation probe revealed the absence of MALT1 translocations in all cases.

Primary cutaneous T- and B-cell lymphomas are a heterogeneous group of diseases with varied clinical presentations and prognosis. The use of new molecular, histological, and clinical criteria has improved their recognition. Cutaneous B-cell and T-cell lymphomas are seldom found together in the same patient. Here we report a rare case of mycosis fungoides variant of a cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (...

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) has a well known association with lymphomas, especially of T cell origin. Prognosis of lymphoma associated HLH is very poor, especially in T cell lymphomas; and, therefore, early diagnosis might alter the outcome. Though association of HLH with systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is known, its occurrence in primary cutaneous ALCL (C-ALCL) is d...

Organ transplant recipients (OTR) are at a significantly increased risk for developing a wide variety of skin cancers, particularly epithelial skin cancer, Merkel cell carcinoma and Kaposi's sarcoma. Melanoma, skin adnexal neoplasm and cutaneous lymphomas are also more common in OTR and may differ in their clinicopathologic presentation from tumors in immunocompetent patients. The accuracy of c...

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) designates a heterogeneous group of CD30(+) (systemic or primary cutaneous) peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs). A subgroup of systemic ALCL is transformed by anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). We compared 24 ALK(+), 15 ALK(-) systemic, and 7 cutaneous ALCLs with 29 nonanaplastic PTCLs in terms of T-cell receptor (TCR) rearrangements, expression of TCRs and ...
