The semiclassical perturbation theory formalism of Hubbard and Miller [J. Chem. Phys. 78, 1801 (1983)] for atom surface scattering is used to explore the possibility of observation of heavy atom diffractive scattering. In the limit of vanishing ℏ the semiclassical theory is shown to reduce to the classical perturbation theory. The quantum diffraction pattern is sensitive to the characteristics ...
In the present work, a hybrid of Fourier transform and homotopy perturbation method is developed for solving the non-homogeneous partial differential equations with variable coefficients. The Fourier transform is employed with combination of homotopy perturbation method (HPM), the so called Fourier transform homotopy perturbation method (FTHPM) to solve the partial differential equations. The c...
The current paper focuses on some analytical techniques to solve the non-linear Duffing oscillator with large nonlinearity. Four different methods have been applied for solution of the equation of motion; the variational iteration method, He’s parameter expanding method, parameterized perturbation method, and the homotopy perturbation method. The results reveal that approxim...
Analytical investigation of the stability of solitary solutions to the Cubic-Quintic Nonlinear Schr ö dinger Equation (CQNLSE), which governs the propagation of electromagnetic fields in nonlinear fibers, is the main subject of this article. Assuming a perturbation of the form in the solutions and using the theory of operators, we show that for CQNLSE , is pure imaginary so that such perturbat...
mineral dust is produced from both natural and anthropogenic sources. dust aerosols can be transported over long distances in the atmosphere. they reduce the incident shortwave radiation to the surface by absorbing and scattering the solar radiation; thereby leading to a cooling effect at the surface and lower tropospheric temperature. on the other hand, by absorption and re-emission of longwav...
In this paper the Bagley-Torvik equation as a prototype fractional differential equation with two derivatives is investigated by means of homotopy perturbation method. The results reveal that the present method is very effective and accurate.
In this paper, we present an efficient numerical algorithm for solving fuzzy systems of linear equations based on homotopy perturbation method. The method is discussed in detail and illustrated by solving some numerical examples.
In this note, the notion of generalized continuous K- frame in a Hilbert space is defined. Examples have been given to exhibit the existence of generalized continuous $K$-frames. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a generalized continuous $K$-frame in terms of its frame operator is obtained and a characterization of a generalized continuous $K$-frame for $ mathcal{H} $ wi...
the present research attempts to explain dynamic pull-in instability of functionally graded micro-cantilevers actuated by step dc voltage while the fringing-field effect is taken into account in the vibrational equation of motion. by employing modern asymptotic approach namely homotopy perturbation method with an auxiliary term, high-order frequency-amplitude relation is obtained, then the infl...
in this paper, we conduct a comparative study between the homotopy perturbation method (hpm) and adomian’s decomposition method (adm) for analytic treatment of nonlinear volterra integral equations, and we show that the hpm with a specific convex homotopy is equivalent to the adm for these type of equations.
