In this paper, we consider how to represent world knowledge using the self-organizing map (SOM), how to use a simple recurrent network (SRN) to device sentence comprehension, and how to use the SOM output space to represent situations and facilitate grounded logical reasoning.

We reveal and give a theoretical explanation for spiral-like structures of periodicity hubs in the biparameter space of a generic dissipative system. We show that organizing centers for "shrimp"-shaped connection regions in the spiral structure are due to the existence of Shilnikov homoclinics near a codimension-2 bifurcation of saddle-foci.

A novel method for estimation of prediction limits for global and local approximating neural networks is presented. The method partitions the input space using self-organizing feature maps to introduce the concept of local neighborhoods, and calculates limits that indicate the extent to which one can rely on predictions for making future decisions.

The calculation of virtual neurons in a self-organizing map by interpolation allows to reduce calculation time and memory space in training and retrieval. In this paper, a new interpolation method, based on aane coordinates of a local system is presented and discussed. An example in the domain of colour mixture is used to show the properties and compare this method to others.

We analyze a set of data describing N=3300 yeast genes, each gene characterized by d=13 variables (traits). First we performed an explorative data analysis and stated a high multivariate kurtosis. Next we clustered the data and visualized them using Kohonen’s self-organizing maps. This permitted us to get an idea how the data are distributed in the multivariate space.

This paper presents a novel growing self-organizing algorithm for dynamic clustering. Controlling a signal counter of each cell, the network can grow. Also, if there exists undesired cell for the clustering, the cell can be deleted virtually. Our algorithm can reinforce the clustering function and the learned network can adapt flexibly to time-variant input space.

This paper presents a concept for organizing and interfacing with 3D windowing systems. Its intention is to provide a means of replacing the 2D desktop metaphor. The replacement metaphor is that of an office, a concept that more directly maps to 3D space.

the purpose of this paper is organizing, classifying and visualizing the literature of supply chain coordination with mind map method. this method uses all the key skills of brain such as word, image, number, logic, rhythm and color for creating, visualizing, organizing and classifying of ideas. furthermore, it is a good utility for studying and organizing information, solving problems, making ...

The major factors of insecurity in the East, away from the security of geopolitical area were because of the formation of political management in the nineteenth century colonial style. The security factor in the vast region of the East that encompasses at least three countries of Iran and Afghanistan and Pakistan is very important and highly effective. It reached its peak colonial Anglo-Russian...
