We present sufficient conditions under which a given linear nonautonomous system and its nonlinear perturbation are topologically conjugated. Our of very general form provided that the perturbations well-behaved, we do not assume any asymptotic behaviour system. Moreover, control on may differ along finitely many mutually complementary directions. consider both cases one-sided discrete continuo...

High efficiency and linearity are indispensable requirements of power amplifiers. Unfortunately they are difficult to obtain simultaneously, since high efficiency PAs are nonlinear and linear PAs may have low efficiency. In order to satisfy the efficiency and linearity requirements, designers preferred to prioritize the efficiency of PAs in the design process and to later recover the linearity ...

This is an effect that belongs to the process that maps the hierarchical groupings of syntactic representations onto strings. The process that produces Right Node Raising, then, should engage that process in such a way that the Right Edge Effect emerges. I will assume that the relevant process is the one that linearizes the terminals in a phrase marker. There have been a series of recent propos...

Arguments about correctness of a concurrent data structure are typically carried out by using the notion of linearizability and specifying the linearization points of the data structure’s procedures. Such arguments are often cumbersome as the linearization points’ position in time can be dynamic (depend on the interference, run-time values and events from the past, or even future), non-local (a...

We consider a variant of the graph partitioning problem involving knapsack constraints with Gaussian random coefficients. In this new variant, under this assumption of probability distribution, the problem can be traditionally formulated as a binary SOCP for which the continuous relaxation is convex. In this paper, we reformulate the problem as a binary quadratic constrained program for which t...

We consider the linearization problem associated with the quadratic traveling salesman problem (QTSP). Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for a cost matrix Q of QTSP to be linearizable. It is shown that these conditions can be verified in O(n) time. Some simpler sufficient conditions for linearization are also given along with related open problems.

Iterative methods to achieve a suitable linearization as well as a decrease of the order and dimension of nonlinear partial differential equations of the eighth order into the biharmonic and Poisson-type differential equations with their simultaneous linearization are proposed in this work. Validity and reliability of the obtained results are discussed using computer programs developed by the a...

Most industrial processes are nonlinear systems, the control method applied consisting of a linear controller designed for the linear approximation of the nonlinear system around an operating point. However, even though the design of a linear controller is rather straightforward, the result may prove to be unsatisfactorily when applied to the nonlinear system. The natural consequence is to use ...
