Two-step Iterative Process For Common Fixed Points of Two Asymptotically Quasi-nonexpansive Mappings
In this paper, we consider an iteration process for approximating common fixed points of two asymptotically quasinonexpansive mappings and we prove some strong and weak convergence theorems for such mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. Keywords—Asypmtotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings, Common fixed point, Strong and weak convergence, Iteration process.
In this paper, we give the generalized alternating twostage method in which the inner iterations are accomplished by a generalized alternating method. And we present convergence results of the method for solving nonsingular linear systems when the coefficient matrix of the linear system is a monotone matrix or an H-matrix. Keywords—generalized alternating two-stage method, linear system, conver...
German reunification provides a unique quasi-natural experiment to study the integration of two economies with perfect factor mobility. The reallocation of capital and labor is the most striking characteristic of German unification and may affect the macroeconomic development in East and West Germany in the long run. Therefore, a baseline two-region open economy model is set up to study the int...
This study examines the role of tourism development in reducing regional income inequality in China. First, the theoretical foundation for how tourism affects regional income inequality is discussed. Second, based on the conditional convergence framework, this study proposes a spatiotemporal autoregressive model to capture spatial and temporal dependence as well as spatial heterogeneity. Touris...
countries in the Region are to improve incomes and move rapidly toward convergence with the advanced market economies. The growing and vibrant private sector in many of these countries will drive productivity enhancements, but public policies should promote these enhancements. The barriers to and the sources of productivity growth are, of course, different in each country and will require a dif...
In this paper, we present parallel alternating two-stage methods for solving linear system Ax=b, where A is a symmetric positive definite matrix. And we give some convergence results of these methods for nonsingular linear system. Keywords—alternating two-stage, convergence, linear system, parallel.
We prove the weak convergence of Mann iteration for a hybrid pair of maps to a common fixed point of a selfmap f and a multivalued f nonexpansive mapping T in Banach space E. Keywords—Common fixed point, Mann iteration, Multivalued mapping, weak convergence.
This paper attempts to ascertain which of the convergence hypotheses – absolute, conditional, or club – best describes the economic development of the U.S. states since 1950. We use regression tree analysis to identify convergence clubs among the states and argue that the club characterization of the data dominates the other two. We find three convergence clubs with a state's age and it's initi...
The paper studies regional (spatial) inequality in the five most populous countries in the world: China, India, the United States of America, Indonesia and Brazil in the period 1980–2000. They are all federations or quasi-federations composed of entities with substantial economic autonomy. Two types of regional inequalities are considered: Concept 1 inequality, which is inequality between mean ...
In this note, we discuss the convergence behavior of a modified inexact Uzawa algorithm for solving generalized saddle point problems, which is an extension of the result obtained in a recent paper [Z.H. Cao, Fast Uzawa algorithm for generalized saddle point problems, Appl. Numer. Math., 46 (2003) 157-171]. Keywords—Saddle point problem; Inexact Uzawa algorithm; Convergence behavior.
