We study the asymptotic behaviour of a class of self-attracting motions on R. We prove the decrease of the free energy related to the system and mix it together with stochastic approximation methods. We finally obtain the (limit-quotient) ergodicity of the self-attracting diffusion with a speed of convergence.

Complex formation of Zr, Hf, and Rf in HF and HCl solutions has been studied both experimentally and theoretically [1,2]. Trends in Kd (distribution coefficient) values evidencing the strengths of formed complexes were shown to be influenced by such factors as pH of solution and acid concentration. Presently, experiments are under way to investigate complex formation of these elements in H2SO4 ...

It is important to remove or minimize the degradations, noises in valuable ancient blurred color images. The traditional available filtering methodologies are applicable for fixed window dimensions only these are not applicable for varying scale images. In our project we propose a new technique for digital image restoration, in this the noise free and noisy pixels are classified based on empiri...

the goal of this paper is to generalize the recently introduced summability method and introduce double statistical convergence of order  by using ideal. we also investigate certain properties of this convergence.

where the wic are defined such that wT icx is the result of applying filter Ji to clique c of the image x. Zi = diag{szic/σ i } are diagonal matrices with entries for each clique, and Wi are filter matrices that correspond to a convolution of the image with filter Ji, i.e. WT i x = [w T iC1x, . . . ,w T iC|C|x] T = [Ji x(C1), . . . ,J T i x(C|C|)] T. Following Levi and Weiss [4, 11], we further...

A novel configuration for automatic gain control of optical amplifiers is presented. It uses a F–P filter with 26.7 nm free spectral range and two long-period gratings (LPGs) to produce two lasing wavelengths in a single feedback loop. By bending the LPGs, the cavity losses at different wavelengths can be varied independently to achieve single and two oscillating lasers control conditions. The ...

BACKGROUND Despite elimination efforts, the number of Mycobacterium leprae (M. leprae) infected individuals who develop leprosy, is still substantial. Solid evidence exists that individuals living in close proximity to patients are at increased risk to develop leprosy. Early diagnosis of leprosy in endemic areas requires field-friendly tests that identify individuals at risk of developing the d...

In a conventional radar receiver errors are introduced due to mismatch between the ADCs and gain and phase mismatch in the I/Q demodulation. By performing the I/Q demodulation in the digital domain some of these errors are alleviated. In this paper several different filter structures suitable for digital I/Q demodulation are evaluated. Three different structures for such a digital down converte...

One of the main unresolved problems in data mining is related with the treatment of data that is inherently sequential. Algorithms for the inference of association rules that manipulate sequential data have been proposed and used to some extent but are ineffective, in some cases, because too many candidate rules are extracted and filtering the relevant ones is difficult and inefficient. In this...

Midpoint filter is quite effective in recovering the images confounded by the short-tailed (uniform) noise. It, however, performs poorly in the presence of additive long-tailed (impulse) noise and it does not preserve the edge structures of the image signals. Median smoother discards outliers (impulses) effectively, but it fails to provide adequate smoothing for images corrupted with nonimpulse...
