Giant cell tumours (GCT) of the bone are benign, but locally invasive tumours. We present a new case of carpus GCT, involving the triquetrum. The diagnosis required a prior biopsy before doing the block resection. This treatment is the best option to avoid recurrences. We review the literature on this particular lesion in the carpus bone.

A giant cell tumor of soft tissue (GCT-ST) is a rare composed mononuclear and osteoclast-like multinucleated cells. It low-grade malignant potential morphologically analog to bone. The superficial deep extremities the most frequent site this which cured by complete or radical resection. GCT-ST as primary in female Breast exceedingly rare. Presentation cells breast has been described association...

BACKGROUND A tenosynovial giant cell tumor (T-GCT) is a benign synovial tumor arising from the synovium, bursae, or tendon sheath. It can be intra- or extra-articular and localized or diffuse. Diffuse T-GCT is considered as a locally aggressive. Positron emission tomography (PET) with fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose with computed tomography (FDG PET/CT) is widely used to differentiate malignant ...

Giant cell tumor (GCT; also known as osteoclastoma) is a locally aggressive, intermediate primary bone tumor characterized by osteoclast-like, multinucleated giant cells and the overexpression of receptor activator of nuclear factor kB ligand (RANKL) produced by stromal tumor cells. The tumorigenesis seemed to be associated with mutations of a histone (H3F3A) gene. Prevalence of GCT can be diff...

Giant Cell Tumor of Bone (GCT) is an aggressive skeletal tumor characterized by local bone destruction, high recurrence rates and metastatic potential. Previous work in our lab has shown that the neoplastic cell of GCT is a proliferating pre-osteoblastic stromal cell in which the transcription factor Runx2 plays a role in regulating protein expression. One of the proteins expressed by these cel...

BACKGROUND Giant cell tumor of bone (GCT) is a benign tumor with a significant tendency to recur locally and rarely to produce pulmonary metastases. It is characterized by the presence of multinucleated osteoclast-like giant cells together with mononuclear spindle-shaped cells. Few prognostic markers have been reported to predict the clinical outcome of GCT patients, so is very important to fin...

BACKGROUND Although giant cell tumor (GCT) is considered to be a primary benign bone tumor, its aggressive behavior makes its diagnosis and treatment, difficult and challenging. This is especially true in distal radius where GCT appears to be more aggressive and difficult to control locally. We report our clinical outcome of en-block resection and reconstruction with non-vascularized fibular au...

Pregnancies complicated by gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) are associated with increased risks of adverse maternal and fetal outcomes. The risks of adverse pregnancy outcomes differ depending on the glucose values among GDM patients. For accurate and effective prenatal counseling, it is necessary to understand the relationship between different maternal hyperglycemia values and the severity...

Purpose: A previous study noted frequent B-RAF mutations among European patients with cisplatinresistant but not cisplatin-sensitive germ cell tumors (GCT). We sought to validate this finding by assessing for these mutations among patients with GCT at our center. Experimental Design: Adolescent and adult patients with GCT who received cisplatin-based chemotherapy and had tumor tissue available ...
