The basic transportation problem was originally developed by Hitchcock. In the literature several methods are proposed for solving Fuzzy transportation problem. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm called Fuzzy Russell’s method for the initial basic feasible solution to a Fuzzy transportation problem. To examine the proposed method a numerical example is solved. Fuzzy numbers may be normal...
In this paper Algorithm is presented to perform critical path method in a fuzzy environment. The trapezoidal fuzzy number given by decision makers or characterized by historical data are utilized to assess the activity time in a project network. The fuzzy shortest path problem thus obtained is compared with conventional method.
Data-driven fuzzy modeling has been used in a wide variety of applications. However, in fuzzy rule-based models acquired from numerical data, redundancy often exists in the form of redundant rules or similar fuzzy sets. This results in unnecessary structural complexity and decreases the interpretability of the system. In this paper, a rule-base self-extraction and simpli&cation method is propos...
When it is question of prediction, no deterministic model can be totally efficient, especially when the output to be estimated is dependent imprecisely on many fluctuant variables measuring human behavior (cognitions, choices, consumption, etc.). Regressions based on fuzzy logic which combine statistics and expert’s attitudes can be used to improve the estimation of such outputs. Those regressi...
In this paper, Multi objective two stage Fuzzy transportation problem is solved in a feasible method. For this solution zero suffix method is used in which the supplies and demands are trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and fuzzy membership of the objective function is defined. Here a numerical example is solved to check the validity of the proposed method. Mathematics Subject Classifications: 90C08, 90C90
The paper deals with a solution of a fuzzy interval system of linear equations, i.e. a system in which fuzzy intervals (numbers) appear instead of crisp numbers. We obtain general results and then use them for finding the united solution set in the case when all fuzzy interval occurring in the system have the trapezoidal shape.
The trapezoidal rule for the numerical integration of first-order ordinary differential equations is shown to possess, for a certain type of problem, an undesirable property. The removal of this difficulty is shown to be straightforward, resulting in a modified trapezoidal rule. Whilst this latent difficulty is slight (and probably rare in practice), the fact that the proposed modification invo...
although there are many excellent ways presenting the principle of the classical calculus, the novel presentations probably leads most naturally to the development of the non-newtonian calculus. the important point to note is that the non-newtonian calculus is a self-contained system independent of any other system of calculus. since this self-contained work is intended for a wide audience, inc...
there are two interesting methods, in the literature, for solving fuzzy linear programming problems in which the elements of coefficient matrix of the constraints are represented by real numbers and rest of the parameters are represented by symmetric trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. the first method, named as fuzzy primal simplex method, assumes an initial primal basic feasible solution is at hand. t...
Fuzzy distance is applied on data analysis, classification, and product positioning analysis widely. In this paper, We introduce a fuzzy distance by using graded mean integration representation of generalized fuzzy number and the span of fuzzy number, We also discuss the distance of the linguistic data of “greater or less than x” and “about x”. It is reasonable to say “the fuzzy distance of abo...
