A case of intestinal obstruction due to ileal atresia where the diagnosis was made prenatally by ultrasound is presented. Close monitoring of the fetus was done ultrasonographically to look for any evidence of meconium peritonitis. The baby was delivered preterm but weighed 3.3 kg.
