introduction as pregnancy progresses, nutrient requirements of fetus and thereby ewe increases and some changes in the levels of blood metabolites including glucose, cholesterol and total protein may occur. during gestation, maternal tissues contribute to supplying energy that required for fetus resulting in changes of ewe blood metabolites; however other factors such as breed, age, feeding typ...

Background: The Lori-Bakhtiari sheep breed is one of the most common native breed in the south-western parts of Iran. The peri-parturition period (2 weeks before to, 2 weeks after parturition), is generally of critical importance regarding the health, production and profitability of the ewes. OBJECTIVES: This study was carried out to compare the serum concentrations of glucose, non-esterified f...

The new 4'- hydroxy and 3'- aldehyde phase- 1 metabolites of butobarbitone and pentobarbitone are fully synthesized for the first time. These metabolites were used to idenfity and quantify the natural metabolites in human urine after single and multiple doses of these drugs. The synthesized metobolites have spectral characterizations (IR, NMR, U.V. and mass spectroscopy) consisted with the ...

Prenatal inflammation is considered an important factor contributing to preterm birth and neonatal mortality and morbidity. The impact of prenatal inflammation on fetal bioenergetic status and the correlation of specific metabolites to inflammatory-induced developmental brain injury are unknown. We used a global metabolomics approach to examine plasma metabolites differentially regulated by int...

BACKGROUND Metabolomics may unravel important biological pathways involved in the pathophysiology of childhood obesity. OBJECTIVES We aimed to 1) identify metabolites that differ significantly between nonobese and obese Hispanic children; 2) collapse metabolites into principal components (PCs) associated with obesity and metabolic risk, specifically hyperinsulinemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hyp...

different medicinal plants have been used in animal and poultry nutrition in last decade. it seems that there are some potential to these medicinal plants to replace with common antibiotics. licorice root (glycyrrhiza glabra) is a medicinal plant that extensively was used in different studies. in the present study, the effect of dietary addition of licorice root on performance and blood energy ...

The isolation of a pure culture of bacteria able to use 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinol (TCP) as a sole source of carbon and energy under aerobic conditions was achieved for the first time. The bacterium was identified as a Pseudomonas sp. and designated ATCC 700113. [2,6-(sup14)C]TCP degradation yielded (sup14)CO(inf2), chloride, and unidentified polar metabolites.

In the last five decades study on plant secondary metabolites have been increasing. Higher plants with a wide range of secondary metabolites have been very important in the search of new therapeutic agents. Flavonoids are most widely distributed secondary natural metabolites that found in plants which occuring in free forms or as glycosides with polyphenolic structure. In this study secondary m...
