We consider the problem of tracking a reference trajectory with an output feedback for a class of nonlinear systems. We solve this problem by combining the techniques of dynamic scaling and homogeneity in the bi-limit.

We consider the problem of approximately tracking a reference trajectory by means of output feedback for a class of nonlinear systems with some non-globally Lipschitz nonlinearities. We solve this problem combining dynamic scaling, homogeneity in the bi-limit and new small gain arguments.

Characterization of successful formulas in Public Announcement Logic (PAL) is a well known open problem in Dynamic Epistemic Logic. Recently, Holliday and ICard have given a complete characterization for the single agent case in [6]. However, the problem for the multi-agent case is open. This paper gives a partial solution to the problem, characterizing the subclass of the language consisting o...

Although take-it-or-leave-it pricing is the main mode of operation for many retailers, a number of retailers discreetly allow price negotiation when some haggle-prone customers ask for a bargain. At these retailers, the posted price, which itself is subject to dynamic adjustments in response to the pace of sales during the selling season, serves two important roles: (i) it is the take-it-or-lea...

An output feedback for a chain of integrator is given in this paper. This one is such that the closed loop system obtained is homogeneous in the bi-limit. Furthermore the associated Lyapunov function satisfies a specific property which is useful in the context of dynamic scaling as used in (Andrieu at al., 2008, Automatica).

In this short note we deal with the problem of trajectory tracking control of fully actuated Euler-Lagrange systems with unmeasurable velocities and bounded control inputs. In order to avoid the use of velocity measurements we introduce a nonlinear dynamic extension for the plant which renders the closed loop system semi-globally asymptotically stable, hence we prove that by increasing some of ...

Sporadic tasks in hard-real-time systems, as de ned by Mok [14], are characterized by triples (e; d; p); 1 e d; e p. Two successive requests by the same task will be separated by at least p time units, and the task must be scheduled e time units within d time units of a request. A scheduling algorithm is said to be static if it does not depend on the sequence of requests; otherwise it is dynami...

In this paper, we propose a new 4-moduli set {2n+ 3, 2n+ 2, 2n+ 1, 2n} that increases the dynamic range and the processing parallelism enabling efficient reverse conversion. First, we assume a general 4-moduli set {mi}i=1,4, m1 > m2 > m3 > m4, with the dynamic range M = ∏4 i=1 mi and introduce a modified Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT) that requires mod-m4 instead of mod-M calculations. Subsequ...

A number of diseases, such as arthritis and cardiovascular disorders impacting the lives of many people have strong inflammatory components. To elucidate the antiinflammatory mechanism of a Novartis compound, time-course gene expression data were collected from joint tissue in an adjuvant-induced arthritis rat model, with and without compound treatment. The gene expression data were then analyz...
