Spin-polarized two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) at oxide interfaces is an emerging physical phenomenon, which technologically important for potential device applications. However, most previous relevant studies only focused on the creation and characterization of spin-polarized 2DEG. To push forward applications, control 2DEG by electric field step. Here, a model system based antiferromagnet...

Nonzero bulk viscosity signals breaking of the scale invariance. We demonstrate that disorder in a two-dimensional noninteracting electron gas perpendicular magnetic field results nonzero disorder-averaged viscosity. derive an analytic expression for within self-consistent Born approximation. This residual provides lower bound 2D interacting electrons at low enough temperatures.

We briefly review the phenomenon of the spin-double refraction that originates at an interface separating a two-dimensional electron gas with Rashba spin-orbit coupling from a one without. We demonstrate how this phenomenon in semiconductor heterostructures can produce and control a spin-polarized current without ferromagnetic leads.
