In this paper, we introduce the concept of fuzzy α-weakly r-continuous mapping on a fuzzy topological space and investigate some properties of such a mapping and the relationships among fuzzy α-weakly r-continuity, fuzzy r-continuity and fuzzy weakly r-continuity.

Parallel to the concept of quasi-separate continuity, we define a notion for quasi-oscillation of a mapping f : X × Y → R. We also introduce a topological game on X to approximate the oscillation of f . It follows that under suitable conditions, every quasi-separately continuous mapping f : X×Y → R has the Namioka property. An illuminating example is also given.

In this paper we introduce a viscosity relaxed-extragradient method for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of the variational inequality problem for a monotone, Lipschitz-continuous mapping in a real Hilbert space H . The viscosity relaxed-extragradient method is based on two methods: extragradientlike approximation method and ...

This paper presents a neural network based technique for mapping problem situations to problem solutions for Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) applications. Both neural networks and CBR are instance-based learning techniques, although neural nets work with numerical data and CBR systems work with symbolic data. This paper discusses how the application scope of both paradigms could be enhanced by the u...

The stability problem of functional equations originated from a question of Ulam 1 concerning the stability of group homomorphisms. Hyers 2 gave a first affirmative partial answer to the question of Ulam for Banach spaces. Hyers’s theorem was generalized by Aoki 3 for additive mappings. In 1978, Rassias 4 generalized Hyers theorem by obtaining a unique linear mapping near an approximate additiv...

The continuity of the mapping which associates a J-spectral factor to a spectral density is analyzed. For the class of essentially bounded functions on the imaginary axis that are bounded away from zero it is well known that this mapping, even for the scalar case, is not continuous. In this paper three results concerning the continuity of the mapping which associates a J-spectral factor to a sp...

The paper proposes a new continuous flow parallel Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)processor using a novel address mapping scheduling strategy and two costefficient non-conflict address mapping approaches. Four parallel butterfly computation units enhance the high throughput. The novel address mapping scheduling strategy uses only two memory units for a continuous flow parallel FFT implementation, w...

Many complex traits in humans and other organisms show ordinal phenotypic variation but do not follow a simple Mendelian pattern of inheritance. These ordinal traits are presumably determined by many factors, including genetic and environmental components. Several statistical approaches to mapping quantitative trait loci (QTL) for such traits have been developed based on a single-QTL model. How...

the morphology of retinal photoreceptor layer was studied in continuous light-exposed and dark-adapteddomestic male cats (felis catus). the eyes of 12 healthy adult cats (4 in continuous light-exposed group, 4 in continuous dark-adapted group, and 4 in control group) were routinely fixed and studied by electron microscope. results showed that the general structure of photoreceptor layer in this...

In John Nash’s proofs for the existence of (Nash) equilibria based on Brouwer’s theorem, an iteration mapping is used. A continuous— time analogue of the same mapping has been studied even earlier by Brown and von Neumann. This differential equation has recently been suggested as a plausible boundedly rational learning process in games. In the current paper we study this Brown—von Neumann—Nash ...
