The solid-state hydrolysis and air calcination of aluminum-doped TiCl3 leads to crystalline anatase TiO2 that is stable on heating to 1000 degrees C, in contrast to control studies with related AlCl3 and TiCl3 physical mixtures that produce rutile TiO2 under the same conditions.
Growth of silicalite with graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets occurred via attachment of GO onto the silicalite surface, and entrapment of GO nanosheets inside single crystals. Supported Au nanoparticles (NPs) sinter easily. Anchoring Au NPs is of fundamental interest and practical importance. We stabilized Au NPs by growing them hetero-epitaxially into the facets of ZnO nanowires. The sintering of epitaxially anchored Au NPs was significantly reduced at high calcination temperatures and during CO oxidation.
A new magnesium aluminophosphate JU92-300 with novel zeotype structure and 8-ring channels has been prepared by calcination of microporous JU-92 under 300 °C.
