Based on geomorphic observations, we discuss lake-level fluctuations, alluvial deposition and river entrenchment in the Dead Sea–Wadi Araba area. The bulk of alluvium in the northern Wadi Araba was probably deposited before the Lisan period of lake transgression that started at about 70 kyears B.P. The lake reached a maximum elevation about 150 m below sea level (b.s.l.), possibly around 15 cal...

Flooding in a sediment-laden floodplain is affected by riverine beach vegetation and the shape of meandering compound channel. The laws water sediment exchange deposition distribution troughs are very complex. These factors play significant role formation development secondary suspended rivers, adjustment horizontal gradient, even evolution flood control situation. In this study, we used combin...

In a coastal zone of seas recreation resources are various. general, they distinguished by 3 blocks, according to features atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere as parts geographical sphere. At the same time, exponents qualities were separated, scales elaborated for every them. The estimations made medicine-biological next exponents: beach, cliff, submarine slope, water, sediment etc.

The aim of this study is to analyse the role natural radionuclides 226Ra, 228Ra, 40K and unsupported 210Pb (210Pbex), as erosion accumulation process tracers. For purpose, a complex system, including both characteristic dynamics closed beach those associated with open wave action, was studied. A 3-year monthly variation 210Pbex carried out at Las Canteras beach, on Island Gran Canaria (Spain), ...

The principle included in construction of submerged breakwater is to protect beach from morphological changes and the sediment transport against incoming waves. In the present study, boundary element method (BEM) is employed for solving the scattering problem of incident wave passing the vertical and inclined submerged breakwaters with rigid boundaries. The boundary element integral equation wi...

In 2021, a beach nourishment project was carried out in Balneário Camboriú, during the process, it found presence of 53 taxa Conchifera associated with sediment dredged from borrowing area. This source area is located 15 kilometers away Praia Central and has an average depth 31m. The organisms were on without life, indicating that borrow consists bank rich allochthonous biodetritus.

Abstract. In many parts, coastal erosion is severe due to human-induced zone development and storm impacts, in addition climate change. this study, the beach risk was defined, followed by a quantitative assessment of potential based on three components associated with watershed, development, episodic storms. On an embayed beach, background watershed affects sediment supply from rivers while alo...

Coastal aquifers are highly dynamic groundwater systems. Sea level rise will cause a in coastal tables resulting increased risk of shallow or emergent (Befus et al., 2020). Marine water fluctuations the beach table to oscillate over relatively large range. Understanding these oscillations is crucial, as (i.e., high) may impact subsurface infrastructure, mobilize sediment, and increase liquefact...

Abstract. Sandy beaches are unique environments composed of unconsolidated sediments that constantly reshaped by the action waves, tides, currents, and winds. The most seaward region dry beach, referred to as beach face, is primary interface between land ocean fundamental importance coastal processes, including dissipation reflection wave energy at coast exchange sediment sea. slope face a crit...

Spatial variations in composition of marine microbial communities and its causes have largely been disclosed in studies comprising rather large environmental and spatial differences. In the present study, we explored if a moderate but temporally permanent climatic division within a contiguous arctic shelf seafloor was traceable in the diversity patterns of its bacterial and archaeal communities...
