We propose a procedure to measure the Z 0 line shape and take full advantage of the superb performance of the CERN e + e − Collider LEP. A combination is presented of the inclusive diffractive cross section measurements made by the H1 and ZEUS Collaborations at HERA. The analysis uses diffractive deep inelastic scattering data selected by means of proton spectrometers. Correlations of systematic uncertainties are taken into account by the combination method, resulting in improved precision.
