This article contains results of analyses of angiotensin II receptors expression in human adipose tissue and stem/stromal cells isolated from adipose tissue. We also provide here data regarding the effect of angiotensin II on intracellular calcium mobilization in adipose tissue derived stem/stromal cells (ADSCs). Discussion of the data can be found in (Sysoeva et al., 2017) [1].

The renal effects of angiotensin II(AII) are attributed to AT1 receptors. In contrast, the function of renal AT2 receptors in unknown. Using a microdialysis technique, we monitored changes in renal interstitial fluid (RIF) prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and cyclic guanosine 3', 5'-monophosphate (cGMP) in response to dietary sodium (Na) depletion alone, or Na depletion or normal Na diet combined with t...

An accumulating body of evidence strongly indicates a local tissue renin-angiotensin system in the pancreas of a various species. In contrast to the majority of tissues that primarily express the angiotensin type 1 (AT1) receptor, the pancreas is one of the few tissues that contain a significant proportion of the AT2 subtype. Moreover, our findings indicate a greater distribution angiotensin II...

The continued acquisition of information on the distribution of expression of components of the renin-angiotensin system shows that it has functions in the tissues that are quite unrelated to its systemic actions. In particular, both type 1 and type 2 angiotensin receptors are found in many tissues of the reproductive system of both sexes. In addition, the widespread occurrence of (pro)renin, a...

Angiotensin II stimulates secretion of corticosteroids and ouabain-like activity from adrenocortical cells. Distinct adrenocortical angiotensin II receptor subtypes (AT1, AT2) have been described, and the present studies investigated their roles in steroid secretion. Using primary bovine adrenocortical cell cultures under serum free conditions, angiotensin II stimulated the secretions of aldost...

Covid-19 is particularly mild with children, and its severity escalates age. Several theories have been proposed to explain these facts. In particular, it was that the lower expression of viral receptor ACE2 in children protects them from severe Covid-19. However, other works suggested an inverse relationship between disease severity. Here we review seemingly contradicting observations on at le...

To investigate whether endothelin-A receptors mediate hemodynamic changes caused by exogenous Angiotensin II in humans, 7 healthy volunteers on a 250-mmol sodium diet underwent 3 separate p-aminohippurate and inulin-based renal hemodynamic studies. In 2 studies, Angiotensin II (increasing rates of 0.625, 1.25, and 2.5 ng/kg per minute, each for 30 minutes) was infused either alone or combined w...

A link between angiotensin II and cell proliferation has previously been reported. However, there remains controversy as to the role of the individual angiotensin II receptor subtypes in mediating these effects and their link to angiogenic cytokines and their receptors. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were infused with either angiotensin II or vehicle for 14 d at a dose of 58.3 ng/min. Angiotensin II-...

Angiotensin II receptors are present along the rat inner medullary collecting duct (IMCD), although their physiological role is unknown. Because urea is one of the major solutes transported across the terminal IMCD, we measured angiotensin II's effect on urea permeability. In the perfused rat terminal IMCD, angiotensin II had no effect on basal urea permeability but significantly increased vaso...
