Abstract Aim To compare clinical outcomes of vascularised regenerative peripheral nerve interface (vRPNI) versus free (fRPNI) in upper limb neuromas. Method A systematic review on neuromas treated with either fRPNI or vRPNI was performed October 2022 accordance the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. PubMed search using term “RPNI” performed. Only papers results from patients who had undergone to were incl...
velop in the proximal end of injured nerves, and reflect repair of the distal segment (1). The most common location of traumatic neuromas is the lower extremities, followed by the head and neck. Traumatic neuromas arising in post-operative scars after cancer surgery can mimic recurrent lymph nodes or local tumor recurrence. Traumatic neuromas occurring in the chest wall after modified radical m...

BACKGROUND Localized nerve pain in the foot and ankle can be a chronic source of disability after trauma and has been identified as the most common complication following operative interventions in the foot and ankle. The superficial location of the injured nerves and lack of suitable tissue for nerve implantation make this pain refractory to conventional methods of neuroma management. We descr...
In a series of 64 ligamentous injuries of the knee, 33 were explored through a medial incision and 31 through a long lateral incision. Sensibility of the skin, the occurrence of neuromas, and discomfort during kneeling were evaluated three and six years postoperatively. The lateral incisions produced less dysaesthesia, fewer neuromas and less discomfort on kneeling.
