A novel inertial inverse-free dynamical system is proposed to solve the absolute value equation (AVE). Under mild conditions, model has a unique solution and its trajectories asymptotically converge of AVE. Compared with existing systems, presence term allows new be more convenient for exploring different solutions Numerical results illustrate effectiveness presented method.

In this paper, a genetic algorithm (GA) has been used to predict the vapor pressure of pure organic compounds based on Riedel equation. Initially, the coefficients of Riedel equation were optimized. Then, a new term was added to the original Riedel equation to reduce error of the model in prediction of vapor pressures of pure materials. 110 components at two different pressures (10 and 100 kPa)...

On gauge fields-strings duality as an integrable system. Abstract It was suggested in [1], that semiclassically, a partition function of a string theory in the 5 dimensional constant negative curvature space with a boundary condition at the absolute satisfy the loop equation with respect to varying the boundary condition, and thus the partition function of the string gives the expectation value...

A functional of a trial matrix and suitable correlation matrix is constructed which is an absolute maximum when the trial matrix satisfies the Wiener-Hopf equation for the filter matrix. mum value of the functional is essentially the sum of the squares of the minimum errors of the observations and is thus of interest in its own right. The maxi*Present address: Physics Department, Clark Universi...

The relationship between sedimentation coefficient and molecular weight for DNA sedimenting in preformed alkaline and neutral sucrose gradients was determined using absolute molecular weight standards (restriction fragments of plasmid pBR322 and phage lambda DNA). The range of calibration for alkaline gradients was extended to small DNA fragments (652 base-pairs) for the first time. The exponen...

Zeger and Liang (1992) allege that regression parameter estimates from transition models tend to be smaller in absolute value than regression parameter estimates from marginal models. This statement is true in typical longitudinal data situations for the relation between the true parameters of the marginal and transition model. However, under the assumption of a transition model the Generalized...

We derive analytic bounds on the convergence factors associated with block relaxation methods for solving the discrete two-dimensional convection-diiusion equation. The analysis applies to the reduced systems derived when one step of block Gaussian elimination is performed on red-black ordered two-cyclic discretizations. We consider the case where centered nite diierence discretiza-tion is used...

The aim of this article is to model and analyze an unsteady axisymmetric flow of non-conducting, Newtonian fluid squeezed between two circular plates passing through porous medium channel with slip boundary condition. A single fourth order nonlinear ordinary differential equation is obtained using similarity transformation. The resulting boundary value problem is solved using Homotopy Perturbat...

We show that when the Hornberger–Sipe calculation of collisional decoherence is carried out with the squared delta function a delta of energy instead of a delta of the absolute value of momentum, following a method introduced by Diósi, the corrected formula for the decoherence rate is simply obtained. The results of Hornberger and Sipe and of Diósi are shown to be in agreement. As an independen...

In this article we propose a novel image denoising and restoration system based on a combination of second and fourth order partial differential equations. We consider a variational scheme that minimizes a energy functional composed of functions of gradient magnitude and of absolute value of Laplacian of image intensity. Then the corresponding Euler-Lagrange equation is computed, a PDE model ba...
