The equations describing the T-violating photon scattering by a diffraction grating have been obtained. It is shown, that the T-violating rotation of the photon polarization plane appear under diffraction in a noncenter symmetrical diffraction grating. The rotation angle gives rise sharply, when the conditions of the photon resonance transmission are satisfied.

The propagation of light in disordered media, including clouds, colloidal suspensions, and biological tissues, is generally considered within the framework of classical optics [1]. However, recent experiments have demonstrated the existence of novel effects in multiple light scattering, in which the quantized nature of the electromagnetic field is manifest. These include (i) the transport of qu...

The scattering of two off-shell photons is an infrared-safe process in QCD. For photon virtualities Q in the range of a few GeV, accessible at LEPII, powerbehaved contributions in (ΛQCD/Q) n to the total cross section may become non-negligible. Based on a dispersion relation for the running coupling, we discuss these contributions and calculate the coefficients of the leading power correction f...

In this paper we consider photon-photon scattering due to self-induced gravitational perturbations on a Minkowski background. We focus on four-wave interaction between plane waves with weakly space and time dependent amplitudes, since interaction involving a fewer number of waves is excluded by energy-momentum conservation. The Einstein-Maxwell system is solved perturbatively to third order in ...

– We analyze the effects of a doubly charged vector bilepton as well as exotic quarks with charge 5/3 e and −4/3 e on light by light scattering. We consider mass values in the range 0.3–1 TeV, which would be reached at the planned future linear colliders. It is found that such exotic particles, especially the doubly charged vector bilepton, give raise to remarkable deviations from the standard ...

The features of electromagnetic processes are considered which connected with finite size of space region in which final particles (photon, electron-positron pair) are formed. The longitudinal dimension of the region is known as the formation length. If some external agent is acting on an electron while traveling this distance the emission process can be disrupted. There are different agents: m...

Recent attempts to detect the pion polarizability via analysis of γγ → ππ measurements are examined. The connection between calculations based on dispersion relations and on chiral perturbation theory is established by matching the low energy chiral amplitude with that given by a full dispersive treatment. Using the values for the polarizability required by chiral symmetry, predicted and experi...

Recent results on the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) and prompt photon productions from H1 and ZEUS experiments on the ep collider HERA are presented. A new DVCS cross section measurements of the H1 Collaboration, for photon virtualities Q > 4 GeV and photon-proton c.m.s. energy 30 < W < 140 GeV, are discussed and compared to NLO QCD calculations encoding Generalized Parton Distributi...

Photon entanglement, the cornerstone of quantum correlations, provides a level of coherence that is not present in classical correlations. Harnessing it by study of its passage through organic matter may offer new possibilities for medical diagnosis technique. In this work, we study the preservation of photon entanglement in polarization, created by spontaneous parametric down-conversion, after...

We demonstrate the use of Monte Carlo simulations to generate photon scattering density functions (PSDFs) that represent the tissue volume sampled by steady-state and frequency-domain photon migration. We use these results to illustrate how scaling laws can be developed to determine the mean sampling depth of the multiply scattered photons detected by photon migration methods that remain valid ...
